Looking at the depth of things that must be done I decided to ask that some specific types of people consider applying to the settings team, as follows:
Arithmetician.
Historian.
Anthropologist.
Zoologist.
Botanist.
Art Historian (full range of sub-specialties, seeking architectural historian most though).
Logician.
Psychologist (abnormal psychologist very welcomed).
There are of course others but these would be a good start. Clearly an above average command of English is expected.
-
Arithmetician and Logician ... hmm, a graduated "Computer Scientist" (College degree) may be not far from those...
(http://cosgan.de/images/smilie/froehlich/e010.gif) for any "second opinions".

How does one apply for settings?

I'm assuming 4/5 of people are discarded by their not good enough english (com..what? :P) language.
-
We have several who speak English as a second, third or fourth language from various countries and we accommodate them.
-
What if they use lolspeak as their primary language?

Nah Xillix, i mean't from the playerbase or maybe some people outside interested in deving.
If there is someone interested with one of the types of positions, there is 80% chance he can't ;P Ok, that can't be proved right, but i was wondering why there are so few replies. Unless people just go apply not saying anything (http://forum.pardus-era.org/images/smiles/ninja.png)

Maybe people are too shy and underestimate their own skills. For those who think they don't have the skills for that I can only suggest to try and apply, you have nothing to lose. In the worst case your application will be rejected. I am pretty sure xillix will give many applicants a chance to show their talents and also teach them what they need to know...you can leave prospecthood after some time if you think it's too much for you, or if a dev (probably also xillix) decides you are not good enough you will be rejected. In the best case you learn a lot, and become a settings dev...so what do you have to lose? Go apply! \\o//

We received an application from a psychologist. Still seeking the others.
