I know lot's of other people have been having lag too...but, im geting it even outside of cities. I have a windows XP (Xtra problems :P). Not much info to go off of but just knowing that other people have the same problem would be fine :D. Thanks everyone! :woot:

there will be new maps in the comming release that will help with some lag, but you need to update your graphics card drivers to get rid of any other lag as it is on your machine and nothing elese ps can do.
-
I agree with Hanace and yes I have updated my graphics card I have high speed internet and the city is so hard to move in because of lag.
-
tried looking down as you move or redusing the graphics in the setup program?

With the new release I experienced extreme lagging in the wilderness, something that hasn't happened before. The funny thing is, the situation is turned around now: Almost no lagging anymore in Hydlaa, very lagging in the wilderness. I wonder if this is a known issue and if there is something that can be done about it or if we will have to live with it.

there have been changes in both maps, and there is nothing other then reducing viewing distance in options that can help.

That is weird. In my case, my client is a lot less laggy now. Even in the maps that had the worst lag like Hydlaa and the Bronze Doors now I can move freely. O--)
Strange indeed...
-
My PC laptop is struggling out in open, in town it is ok, was fine in both before. Also all up to date.
-
I'm lagging on ojaroad 2 and bdroad 2. Otherwise I experience almost no lag. BD is smooth (I used to have horrid lag there before this release to the point where the char would "float" frozen over the road, so yeah...), Hydlaa is ok too.

Nothing has changed in the outdoor areas.
Talad did make changes to the roads maps before release that might lead to the lag
-
Now you "experience" lag in the wilderness because it IS slower than the cities, wait . . .
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
It is actually NO different than it was before you simply perceive it more now due to the lack of lag in the major areas.
I had absolutely no problems in the wilderness before. Now there are hiccups (missing frames or whatever) and I must be careful when hunting not to get beaten up before I have even noticed. So it's not just my imagination. Do you lag there, Xillix?
-
Do you lag there, Xillix?
You mean you actually want the queen of fools to get ingame and stop working on the game? :O

No way! ;D (although a bit of a rest IG wouldn't be bad, heh)
I was wondering if he checked it himself first in order to be sure he's right ;).

*Morla wonders where climbing came from in this topic ???
Just as a note: for me the climbing discussion is OVER. I have more interesting things to do like looking for new bugs, exploring that new movement/collision system and enjoying RL. So yeah... peace be with you ;)

Fixes will come in time complaints in the mean time only frustrate the process.
sorry but did someone just complain about complaints in the complaint section?
Definitely worth a smile. No complaints here, though I love the humor :whistling:

[..] and detail was added to the wilderness areas is the real cause.
lol I love how this player-/testerbase is approached with an incredible lordliness, while officials complain about people reacting rudely - sorry, but I am wondering for longer now, if devs shouldnt leave up public relations to co-workers way better suited for such tasks.
About the bacon, whyever mentioned there: I wonder if that pig will still lick its lips droolingly looking forward on his own bacon, while the kid will already have been at home being served a grilled steak.
At this point: A huge thank you to Caarrie for patiently and seriously replying always for a long time now! :flowers:
Ontopic:
I only noticed that my mouselooking is that quick (while smooth) now that I need to be careful to not shift my mouse too quickly when attempting for a 90deg turn, for I wont end up doing a 360.. ;D

A big thank you to Caarrie from me too
-
yes thank you caarrie for your mature, succinct, and professional response. \\o// someone must have had a bad day... :-\
-
Most days are a bad day for me lately, must be burnout.
Perhaps you all can do this better without xillix.
Thanks caarrie for setting me straight.
