Is it a possibility (not with game mechanics, but just in general) to tame a Tloke? If so, could it carry messages? Also, would it be a "crime against Xiosia" to do so? Thanks.

Isnt said in one of both volumes of beast, that tlokes are sort of 'domesticated' as well, since they are kept as "lucky animals"? So I would say they are kind of tamed? While I myself would wonder if anyone would use his precious 'pet' as a messenger one, of course I would like to see what officials say about it=P

Ah, one of the books I haven't even read. I remember reading in the Xiosia one about the Tloke freely jumping from tree to tree (and I remember seeing a screenshot of one), so I'm just wondering the details. Good to see that they can be kept as pets though, that's one leap forward. :P

You could likely tame a tloke as much as you can tame a raccoon. No matter how friendly they would get or how much you teach them, they would still be wild animals.

Well I did just read a book that mentions that they're used for grazing and breeding (for mounts). I don't know that much about raccoons, but it sounds like tloke are a little more under control, especially since they're herbivores.

I was under the impression they were fairly small animals - the screenshots of the tloke sighting made them look much too small for even dwarves to use for riding. Though I suppose there could be multiple kinds of tloke, and some are bigger than others.
Being herbivores doesn't necessarily mean a lot, even if they're good natured herbivores. IRL there are numerous animals that are tamable and even breedable, but probably won't ever be really domesticated (zebras, for example), since things like the animal's social structure, attention span or tendency to spook cause problems. Tlokes could always be one of those things that people keep around because they're cute, not because they're useful.
