I started playing planeshift yesterday. It seems to be quite enjoyable :D
The problem I am having is my frame rate. The game is almost unplayable. I see one click of movement every second.
I am using the default settings for the game.
My system specs follow:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1 GM RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS with 256 MB memory
400 GB Free Hard Drive Space on a 500 GB Hard Drive
I am using the onboard sound with my motherboard
As far as I can tell, my system far exceeds even the recommended system specs.
Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to run PS just fine.
What OS (Windows XP, Vista - Linux - Mac OS) are you running? Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed?
-
I have Windows XP.
I am downloading the latest driver now.
-
I have the newest drivers. They do not help.
-
in options change the camera distance to a lower number and see if that helps any.
-
It did not help.
-
Try Adaptive Distance under Options, and set it to a lower value. Also, in PlaneShift Setup, don't use too high values for Multisampling etc. You can also try to lower the resolution.
-
And check "Fps cap". If that was set to low you'll get lag. In my opinion it should be larger then 30 at least.

I figured it out. The Vertex Buffer Object in the Setup was causing the issue. When I switched it to off from default, the problem was fixed.
