I've got a song which I really like, but I've got no clue what language it is in.
It's the song "Prayer" by "Diskonnekted". My guess is that it is an actual prayer and that it is either arabic or hebrew, but I've got no clue.
If anyone could figure out what it is, write it down with latin letters and translate it to english even I'd be really thankful. Here's a snippet of the song from their label (the prayer is on it)

Maybe you should post the lyrics?

I'm pretty sure that isn't Arabic, actually. I emailed it to a friend of mine who's a native speaker just to make sure, as my ability to speak it amounts to basic pleasantries, being able to ask where the bathroom is, and insulting someone's mother :D

I didn't find them on the net, and even if, the part you can hear in the snippet is probably an audio sample from a movie or elsewhere, in most cases these aren't quoted in the lyrics. If you want to give it a try, song name and artist are posted in my initial post :)

Thank you a lot :)

Seeing as they are Belgian, try Dutch or German, did not sound French.

I speak Dutch and some German, it's definitely neither of those. No clue what it is...

Diskonnekted actually sings in english, but this audio sample is neither english, nor german, nor dutch or french or whatever other european language i can think of. I asked a buddy who is a native hebrew speaker and he said it isn't hebrew. Also he said it's arabic, so i guess i'll wait for peanuts to post what his friend said about it :)

Sounds scandinavian in the intonations. Perhaps Samic or Icelandish? I definately hear a few similarities to a Germanic-like language... Perhaps try the regional languages for the countries between the Midwest and West region?
