Ok, I need mayor help, well it looks that way SInce I do not know anything about computers, I'm probably overreacting.
I downloaded the game from the mirror thingy.
Installed it after almost two hours of wait.
Then, as I read, I ran the updater. After pressing the button, came this black box saying it was updating. Then I had to press enter to close it. All normal (that I know of)
I also read before using the client, I'm supposed to do the setup thingy as well. I click it, and here comes this box with basically nothing in it. I know there supposed to be words in it, but all the words are black stripes! Seriously. I click the Client and the same thing happens there. Example:
Hello! My name is Ataxia :)
///// // //// // /////
;( Help? Every other graphic looks good. But the words are missing.
In case my example wasn't dramatic enough, this drama queen shall add a screen shot :)

Do you have some system specs? (Like... ATI graphics?)
Everything would be useful I think... Hardware, OS etc...
And if you look down at future posts you will probably find something about updating graphic drivers ;)

have you updated your graphics card drivers? and what are your system stats?

Well, I hope this answers the questions:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Adapter Type
S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR
Adapter Information
Chip Type: S3 Prosavage DDR
DAC Type: S3 SDAC
Memory Size: 32 MB
Adapter String: S3 Compatible Display Adapter
Bios Information: 60.00.07

Memory Size: 32 MB
That might be a problem. 32 Mb is not a lot. It also probably indicates that card is quite old. You could try the newest XP drivers from this link (http://www.s3graphics.com/en/resources/drivers/legacy/software_archive.jsp), but those are from 2002. Also the fact that they supply windows 3.1 drivers from 1997 for this card probably is an indication that this card is just too old.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong :> This version is from 2002. So if I do a graphic from 2002, isn't the same thing as the one it has now?
Ooooh I swear I'mma take a computer tutoring thingy ;(

There are several posts [if you search] that say that this type of graphics card does not run ps very well if at all. You need to get a better card in order to play this game.
-
And do I download/buy them? :>
-
graphics cards are hardware, meaning they're actually equipment inside your computer so that makes downloading a bit impossible. You'll have to go buy one from a computer store and hope someone knows how to attach it inside your tower .. or ask them to do it for you.

Ooooh. Darn! X-/ Well thank you for helping me :)

Lanarel has made a mistake on the date of the driver for your specific card. The driver's release date is from 2004, and it's been posted on the S3 web site on Feb 2, 2005. Here is a direct download link for the "S3G ProSavage DDR":
http://drivers.s3graphics.com/en/download/drivers/legacy/ProSavageDDR_420/S3G_ProSavageDDR_winxp_v139433.exe
This is for Windows 2000 and XP, so it should be compatible with your Windows XP Home Edition.

Your issue is that you have a savage graphics card.
Those cards never could handle OpenGL properly, and they in all niceness, just plain suck.
If you do a search on the boards, you'll see that there have countless threads created about Savages not working well.
