So, I understand that a lot of MAC users have problems with Planeshift. I am no exception, but my problem is... complicated. I use MAc OSX. It's not brand new, but it easily meets the game requirements. I installed Planeshift without much difficulty. I opened the game and I could not connect to the server.
Yea, I know what you're thining. I didn't check to see if the server was down. I did check. The server was up. THen I checked the IP adress, which was the correct one according to this site, and I made sure the 7777 was in the right place. Still nothing. I have not been able to connect AT ALL. All I get is Failed each and every time, even when the server is up.
Anyone who might be able to help, please respond!

I don't think anyone has really been able to connect for more than a few minutes (if at all) over the past couple days... I'd give the devs some time to sort out the bugs and wait until the server is more stable before trying.

you can check http://laanx.fragnetics.com/ to see if the problem is with the server being down or your connection. If the server is up but very few people are on (less than 5), and you cant connect, chances are the server is only on for testers so will show "failed" on everyone else's client.

yeah, I've been having the same problem. Although I just installed the game today, I've been checking it on and off for the past... 3 hours, about, and it keeps on saying failed. And last time I checked how many people were online, it said 113. So it can't be just for testers, right? so oh woe, what to do? :'(

Are you sure you have version 0.4.01 installed? Get the new updater and run it! :)

ok. The updater wouldn't run, but I got it to work now.

The updater has no GUI so you won't see it doing anything (it'll jump in your dock a few times). However, if you open it through Terminal or have your Console running, you will see the file exchange.
