Hello, all.
I also have the problem with "Loading region failed. I cannot go from Bdroad1 to bdroad2.
I have read the topics here, and have made vertex buffer of in pssetup, and have deleted the semicolon before the "Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_ARB_texture_compression = false". But It doesn´t work.
Please help me, write me what I must do.
May problem is: I am german, and its very hard to understand the programming things. I also cannot work with console and terminal.
So, please, please write me step by step what I must do.
I have a Mac G4 PPC, 10.4.11 , 2GB RAM, and the graphic card is a ATI Radeon 9600 PRO with 256 MB
Thank you

Hi, Coarrie,
this is the thing what I don´t understand. Must I start the updater, which is with version 4.01, or must I download a new updater. And then what I do then?
I say only: Why they do such a changing, that we macusers always get so problems with PS?
Many thanks

Hello, Caarie,
thank you for your famous help.
I have done what you said, also I have made with textedit the updaterxml info. config from false into true.
Now I can go in bdroad2 but it is very laggy. ican run only slowly and the moves are not good ( I dont know how to say it in english). This I have had also in ojaroad. Can you say me what this can be?
Thank you

I just acquired this problem and it led to something worse (I've been through the forums and didn't see anything like it)
I think I was at the same spot the op was by the description and I got the loading region failed notice and the crash.
I logged back in and now the client ran ok for a about 10 minutes but now runs for about 1 minute and then freezes. I tried running the updater and it does the same thing, runs for about 1 minute and then freezes.
Has anyone else seen this? Would it be smart to uninstall and reinstall the client from scratch just for... well, mostly for my own amusement, apparently I'm not going on any quests with less than 2 minutes to get from point a to point b. X-/

I went through the procedure to get the correct xml file, that was the first thing I checked. It didn't make any difference except that now the updater hangs instead of crashing outright, just like the client.
