Hi,
I'm not sure if this is normal, but my character doesn't run. She never has. (It's actually kind of cool, but I might need to run one day soon, so...) When I press Shift (left or right), nothing changes. When I press "R," she does a strange shuffle- like thing with one foot behind the other, but doesn't go any faster.
I have no idea what kind of problem it is, so I'll just give you some basic stats.
My character is Qumenee, a tiger- colored Enkidukai. She's only carrying about eight pounds of items.
My computer: MacBook running OS 10.4.11, 2 GHz Intel.
My connection: Broadband.
I'll be happy to provide any other information you may need, and I'll feel really silly if this is just some kind of character quirk (which is why I hesitate to report it on BugTracker).
Thanks for your time!

check your options, keys, run. what is the button there? does changing it help?

In Options I have Shift + R set to toggle between Walk and Run and the R key to Auto-run
In CB version they worked fine and took immediate effect, but since SB version, although I have the same potions set I have to tap the Up Arrow cursor key first.

Have you tried editing your custom keys (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=31746.0)?
I have a Macbook as well, and this happens to me using the defaults. Just C&P the code in the linked thread to the appropriate files, and I'm wagering your problem will be solved.

Thanks, everyone! I followed the link and c&p'd the code into the "controls.xml" file, but there was no change. Then I used the Options menu in- game to change the key settings, and that worked fine.
I also thought it might be useful to change the mouse settings Caarie mentioned, but I don't seem to have a file called "mouse.xml" anywhere on my computer. The files I have in the PlaneShift options folder are as follows: "camera.xml," "chatbubbles.xml," "ignore.xml," "shortcutcommands.xml," and "controls.xml." It would be nice to know what happened to that file, but since I use a three- button mouse anyway, I'm not too concerned about it.
Thanks again for your help!
