Lets hear what your favorite moment in Planeshift was (is). It could be a role play, the joy of getting to a goal you accomplished or maybe meeting a special person. It can be any joyful event that you experienced that you wish to share.

For me it was solving the first quest in Planeshift, back in MB and getting the 4th place(along with 15 others ;D). The atmosphere at that time was really great and it was something out of the ordinary when you consider that the only "game" supported by the game mechanics was crystal hunting.
Its still my favorite quest to date, tho at some point it broke and im not sure it even exists anymore.
There might have been better events in the past years, but then i dont play much anymore.

Mmmmm... bartending at the Kada for various fun players like Archon and Ralas. The good times at the old gold mine with Indygo, Venae, Xavi and many others. Messing with Shalmaneser (anytime anywhere). Being in the Enlightened and hanging with Daemen and Araye. Dice games with Einnol and Indygo. The "wars" between the Nightshade, Orbis Incendium, Outlaws, Sapere Magi. Black Monday, or should I just say: Eid (yeah I am counting that one, I sure am). Getting funny commentary from Karyuu at different times. Drinking with Frak, Pisik, Niu and numerous others. Indygo and Zhai's wedding. Hitting the polymorph glyph GM event with disparate players like Duraza, Ollo, Jelem. Pisik ranting and freaking out. Learning the backdoor to the dungeons from Bitot. RP'ing with the lovely Miss Borimel. The trial of Daehaz. Hanging out with Mudis and Rooyannan. Sunday Ulber Hunts with the Elemental Light. Socia's rants. The first time Harnquist started moving around. Yeah, I had a good time in game for quite a while.

Sit back and relax, this may be a long list. :sweatdrop:
- Well, I think making it to Hydlaa and not dying instantly was one moment. I spent my first year to a year and a half killing rats because I died when ever I did anything else.
- Learning how to talk to talk to NPCs and get quests because I spent my first year to a year and a half killing rats because I didn't know how to really do anything else.
- learning how to mine after I made it to Hydlaa, since I finally had something to do besides killing rats in the sewer.
- Agara sending me a tell every time she was on saying "Heya Illysia! :)"
- Truly RPing with Indygo for the first time. This is when Illysia started to develop as a character.
- Getting strong enough to fight off clackers on my own while mining in the dungeon. Man I hated clackers, they were always on me. >:(
- Having picnics, RPing cooking before the skill was implemented, and telling stories while people ate.
- RPing arguing with Marqsaynt, apparently that was amusing for anybody close enough since they always seemed to laugh.
- Maxing out Illysia's strength. Since Illysia's profession was mining, this was a big thing. She could haul way more ore. To this day it is the only maxed stat or skill.
- The developing of Illysia's sister Zandral, Marqsaynt had a big any in that too.
- RPing with Liadan and Marqsaynt was fun. Mostly because Liadan took up Illysia's customary role of harassing Marq while Illysia was "away".
- RPing Zandral trying to take care of an orphaned menki cub... Never dump children on random strangers, you never know how much experience with babies the people may have.
- Illysia joined two different guilds, The Black Sun Union and after that the Royal House of Purrty.
- Illysia finally attended her first wedding, Noriin and Velh's wedding.
Uhhh.... I know there is more but I am drawing a blank now so this will have to do for now. ;D

I am just going to pick the memory that shines the most for me.
My wedding to Satayne is the best moment in PlaneShift for me for a couple of reasons. I have never seen so many darned people in Ojaveda before! All my friends in one place! It was crazy. No server crashes that day. Everyone was having a great time and thanks to Proglin and so many others, it felt like a real party. So much work went into that day from alot of players, and I got my first taste of what it would be like to run an huge event. To all those players back then thank you once again because it will always be one of the more cherished memories I have of PlaneShift.

The very first time I entered the game as Odessa Wildfire and the friends (and enemies) I made in those first few days.
Spending 95% of my time in the Deathream as Alhana. You wouldn't believe how much fun I had.
Watching my sister rp as Aluna. She was so stroppy with people.

My first trip to hydlaa ;p
I couldnt find my way, so someone helped lead me there. Along the way, I picked up friends, a guild, and a very changed future ;p

Trying to join the Vespers of Laanx and being told as a test I needed to lead three people out of the Death Realm...waiting to die so I could lead someone else out again (and back then, it wasn't very difficult, even when not trying.)
Talking to all the NPCs and learning their jobs, then sending bug reports on corrected spellings. Ah, Grimal Bloodaxe. So barely coherent back then.
Receiving numerous compliments on the Arena Book. Also, the pleasure of writing the bestiary and seeing the kormi fleshed out in game.
The fact that the Third Way into the winch is still very elusive.

My favorite is singing at the gold mines. That was fun and I almost always got some response on my singing. I still do it when I mine, but that hasn't been as often recently

The first time Kada talked with me without me starting the conversation.
Arguing with people (Grono especially) for being rough on ex-Runescapers.
Having the word filter on the cabali forum change "Aendar" into something else :P
When Xil told me to join the settings team.
Talking to Kerryk for the first time :D

Zarre fondly remembers being approached at the Oja gold mine by a tall, mysterious woman long ago. The woman told her to expect a package to be delivered very soon. She also told Zarre she was the "chosen one" before she disappeared. (Zarre is winging it with the roleplay, because it was so foreign to her.) The package was delivered as promised. Wrapped inside a fur, Zarre discovered a pair of swords. It was useless trying to get the Fenki to tell her who the package was from. The Fenki promised to have the swords repaired that same night. Zarre attempted to offer a partial payment, since her tria sack was on the light side. The Fenki shook her head and it was then that Zarre realized the swords were a gift!
A very charming dwarf arrived to repair the weapons. (His descriptive words painted a picture for each step he took to repair them.) The dwarf checked the blade with his finger and drew blood. After seeing his reflection on the polished blades, he returned a perfect pair of swords to Zarre.
Lady Luck must have followed Zarre to the mine that night.

Lots of good moments :)
Singing at the goldmine with Dihenis, dueling club with Akashani and also Dinosaur hunting ;D Shadow Before Dawn...that entire RP basically led me to flesh out Anumesa as a character. Dying for the first time and being greeted by a pitch black bugged death realm (Eliseth was so kind to lead me out step by step...literally). Wedding party at the tavern...so many people were there: Trixie, Kieve i miss you both :( . Akashani's wedding, Anumesa's wedding, Any and all RPs that involved Velh and Noriin (You two are my absolute favorites!). Joining Xeonart/Duraza's guild as a noob because i was cranky that day and decided on a whim to be "evil". The kidnapping RP player event that i worked on, ending in Ojaveda. Myraa and Geremar's fantastic new haircuts, courtesy of Noriin. Pohims's fantastic butchery of a haircut courtesy of Akashani. Pohim getting on the wrong side of the law courtesy of Orgonwukh. Doselya running away from a certain smelly dwarf ^.^...oh, and Zwenzes Runninboots...oh GOD i laughed so hard that day :woot:
Meeting so many wonderful people and weaving so many tales with each character, who could ask for more? \\o//

Gah, don't make me pick just one...
The first time my fenki alt (main at the time) made it to Hydlaa. I was so proud of myself for figuring out the path on my own. I got lost most of the other times I traveled the Ojaroads before I started using landmarks. Backtracking wasn't as easy as I'd thought it would be. XD
Monala getting romanced by a certain young Demorian - the whole thing was full of great moments, but my absolute favourite were the first ones.
Joining MoM - I've had quite a few good moments with them, though most were OOC
Monala's rooftop conversation with a certain man with a bad reputation, where she found out what happened to her best friend and beat him up - she didn't, however, do too good a job of it. XD
Quite a few more...and hopefully more to come as well.

My first day in Yliakum was very memorable, after meeting Nuthedie and learning to RP from the word go. Joining the Guardians of Power back when Peacer still played PS (he's become a noob since then :thumbdown:). The first time I played with Sarine, people were so receptive to RP that day it was incredible. That let to her meeting Arka and joining the Knowledge Seekers.
Specific RPs, the only GM event I took part in loong ago, Eliseth was murdered and the murderer was taken in by th guard, Eliseth had to answer questions after returning from death realm. Sarine's very brief RPs with Donari.
Finally when I created Valiki, Sarine's son, my first and only child character, and then the forming of the Waddling Yulbars, which brought a whole new angle to RPing.

Favorite moments....
The -First- time i made Shangshi I died about 5 minutes in looking for rats in the sewers having spent 4 1/2 minutes looking for the sewers, got lost in the death realm....no body hepled me out, sad times, so i deleted the character and remade him \\o//. And the fun has never stopped since.
When Masjo asked me to join the Dark Shadows.... been a while since ive seen him about I hope he comes back.
Then there was joining the Nomothetes and meeting Zarre and Mohero for the first time lots of fun had there, the most eventful was Allola joining causes almost nothing but trouble, good times.
Actually realizing that i really like RP was probably my favorite moment, found the game on google and just wanted something new and free to play. Power leveled for ages. Now i hardly do anything but RP. A lot of it is now done with Allola, would i have started RPing as much with out her?? Id like to think so, but i use the levels i got in my RP so its all worked out for the better.
The GM event when a dwarf was trapped in his dreams and we were all teleported into his dreams to save him, that was the great, first and only time ive even seen Hydlaa empty, very weird sight.
And recently....A 30-45 minute RP when nothing was said, havnt done that before, hard to get across intent with description only, well done to Qia for only ever doing that.

Oh...too many to count. ;D One of them: Taukra's pickpocket attempt on Karasuma that turned into a gift-giving! (And got Taukra on his way to Hydlaa)
Others: Re-meeting Daehaz after his inprisonment...that was a good one! Add to that the "love quadrangle" fun that Lossoph stirred up by being attracted to Kaerli...(imagine a married man in the position of being physically attracted to somebody else's fiancee)...and Kaerli vs. Farren. Just to top it off...Kaerli planting Hwnae on his rear end.

Hm, my favorite moments would have to be when I first started PS... since I got to explore something I hadn't seen before... and drink ice tea while doing so... at my grandmother's house... And there was this menki guy and he became my character's "teacher" thing for a few days and yeah. Oh, and the speakers kept screwing up, so it was like DUH DUH DUN DUN DEE DEE DOO DOO DUN DUN DUN DUN DUH DUH. Good times.

Well, my favorite moment was one day after i got fooled. An other player told me there is a platinum mine at the bronze door.
The next day I run into a player who logged in after 2 years of abstinence. He re logged before my eyes and after some time of ooc chatting what has changed it turned out he had 3 platinum ores. He sold me a platinum ore that brought me much fun :D
On the evening I went to kada els and roleplayed with a friend having discovered a platinum mine. Of course I had my ore on the table to make that role play more realistic :P Besides many other people who fell for this prank I even made the player who fooled me believing his own prank.
When I read the logs of that, i even crack up today. There have been many high lights while playing planeshift, but for me this is THE highlight.

The day Kaerli's ego shrinks to a manageable size or when Laanx personally comes to invite me into godhood .. whichever happens first. :P
Seriously now .. the first event I 'hosted', a wedding for friends, the Hydlaa Festival of the Hunt, the creation of the Vaalguard and it's follow-up: the Imperial Guard along with any moment I get to walk around with a few guards on my tail feeling important. :P

The day I stood on top of the Laanx statue for 24 hours and logged the advisor channel. So many people asked me how I got up there. Also made an entertaining advisor log.

probably one of my more favorite moments was when i first stepped into the bronze doors. wow i guess it still is.
i think perhaps the second would be when i managed to finally get across the broken bridge. not sure after that.

So many great memories both in and out of game.
Forum: Finishing Chain of Souls (both times), and every time someone reads and enjoys it. Writing the 'porodies'. Running the forum Octarchal election. Reading many good stories. Writing aside steuben.
In game: Krook, always. The groups that would gather around Aeshion to 'hear' her speak. Hyuken telling his goofy and completely clueless stories. Pickled Jerk and the little dwarf that loved it. The Un-common cold. Meeting Nurahk. Backing Xillix in his RP. Story night with Arnigus. Finding a bug in the chat system, and having it fixed right away. Countless others.
Devvy: Writing some of the Crystal Eclipse events and then rocking the world with them with Yill (Proglin) and many other great people. Helping craft BlackFlame lore and writing many of the books. Seeing Song of the Lemur in the library for the first time, followed by others. [secret-shake-the-foundations-of-Yliakum-stuff] coming soon(TM). Knowing what is coming, and getting to be a part of making that happen.
And many more memories to come.

The first day I started to Role Play - so many people... the best RP that sticks in my mind was small player event my husband lead - and so many players came to Lolitra and her twin Celorrim's rescue. It was a real hoot.

well, the race across yliakum... sponsored by the explorers... even though map loading times doomed me to be ... not first.... or even learn the straightest lines after hydlaa.....
and... exploring.... finding new spots... climbing tall stalactites (when we could).
Helping new people who appreciate it. (as opposed to the "PLZ GIVE ME 1000 TRIA NOOBZ" people....)
and finally... going outside hydlaa.... and standing under the path to the magic shop... "help... I have been buried alive! Pull me up please?" he he he... lil prank there... lots of fun....

1) When I joined the SoV (when it was called SoB XD)
2) Every guild event (Bunjee Jumping at BD, too :lol:)
3) This one is a secret one :whistling:
4) When I cooked my first food (most of them are only Food Ingredients)
5) My first day on PS, when Gaian wasn't yet herself.

Well, all of the RPs I've taken part in I have enjoyed (though thinking back to some of my "newbie" roleplays sometimes makes me wince :-[). Finding some of those brilliant little areas and secrets that the Devs have put in (that you, Devs). Oh, and when a couple of my character's little plots became a lot bigger.

Setting foot in PS as an Akkaio enki, and seeing others actually using my work, first-hand.
(After making mods for a single-player game for so long, this was ground-breaking for me)
Meeting Anumesa and Kenzel the first time, on the eve of their engagement, and the revelry that surrounded it.
Casting "Flame Spire" for the first time... :devil: ...and immediately doing it again when it ran out.
...For a full half-hour. :D
...I luv fire.
And most anything involving Sade. She's got the most peculiar (and endearing) speech mannerisms.

Getting the tour of Hydlaa from the Vespers and being introduced to Plakkem Hverrjanor. That was my first glimpse at what a great community PS is.
Also, anything involving Eretelien and Nalelack. They're so cute together sometimes.

oocly the outlaws are a great bunch. and the fellow we tied up was such a sport.. hehe never get drunk in the presence of your enemies :P every line was dotted with ooc {lol, rof, and lsoipmp} we all had a blash including our victom :D he even posted the logs in the forums :) might still be here somewhere.

Why not...
I'll keep the fondest ones to myself (which include some aside NWN diversions), but among the favourite moments are:
- solving the 2nd MB quest! (yes, I'm nuts) There were some rumours there would be one but Venge would just deny it until it was on the public server. It was a small world at the time, names like Keldorn(l), Dagger, Moogie, Havena, Xylonias, Sabrewulf, Bobodar! ... were frequently on the user list, and the perspective of a reward like the 1st quest made it even more hectic to solve among those friends (Nilaya and Draklar, you were already there too ;) - Kada, Mayia, Abaddon and others were in holiday). There was no reward in the end and it didn't last very long (about 2 hours to solve it from the moment it was on), but oh so fun! :D
- RPing with Nilaya, Hevrah and Nia/Myliana/Star/<other names> in and around the temple mostly
- erm, my first diamond? :-[ ... and my first mug!
- being a guide in the CB sewers, during the pre-alpha closed tests... (told you I was nuts)
- discovering CB for the first time, and teleporting Boonet (who was paying PS a visit) to Ojaveda
- endless discussions about guild preparation details in the old tavern, probably to the despair of most of the other members ;) I'm quite sure OI was the guild which took the longest time to create in the whole Planeshift history.

My best moments:
The night rouge event was good.
I liked when I got in the outlaws
Also, when the outlaws did the gugrontid road block. It was not to crowded, and It's good to see some enjoyment after a event where I was killed when RP was paused.

My favorite moments in PS are whenever I get to be cruel to other characters... Hehehe.

RP with Odessa Wildfire
Giving the statue of Laanx a halo of octa (I have lost the screenshots :'()
First time to the top of the temple
Watching Proglin progress to the one that every body loved
Upsetting a few GMs when I managed to walk under the plaza (I was about 10m under the plaza and could walk around on non-existent ground)
oh yeh, the I'm stuck in the path ;)
and many others including coming back to PS after a long 18+months away

I remember when I was new and he took me up the windowless tower. I took a misstep and the last thing I remember was Proglin says, "opps" DR here I come again where I spent my first two weeks in game until Ogu got me out.
Fun times.

Favorite moments...
Romance in front of the cozy fire that used to be in Kada's Tavern, holding hands on rooftops...
Just being together, was an amazing joy.
And I genuinely fell in love.
Even more surprising, was that the story I lived, The Dark Lady Verrliit: A Seer in Whom a Darkness Most Dangerous and Hungry Dwells, held far more truth in it than my real life did.
And writing for the first time in a quarter century, I read Dark Wisdom to a poetry gathering at Kada El's...
No one spoke after I finished, for so long, that I thought chat had stopped working again.

Meeting Amheh for the first time was pretty interesting.
It was a nice feeling when I created the Scholars Guild and all these devs posted about how much they loved the concept. Unfortunately that thread has been deleted...

There have been quite a few for me, but my favs are:
The first time I took down an Ulber...seems silly but it was a great high ;D
Being invited to join The Syndicated Mining Company, where I have learned most of what I now know about PS, plus met a great bunch of friends.
And the absolute best was the day I was on Oja road, mining gold and I met a certain beautiful High Priestess of Xiosia, who changed both Janzeth and my life...She introduced me to so many interesting and fun RPers...I owe her the world and thank my lucky stars everyday that she is there.

Um, my first ulber was a good feeling yeah,
there was also this incident where two guild mates and I went to Kada-El to celebrate a bit...
we were RPing drunk and it got a little out of control.
Long story short, I ended up naked and weaponless in DR
lol, good times...

I think my favorite moment was when I was accepted in the Nightshade Mercenaries guild :)
Still got a lot of friends from that time, though the guild itself is pretty inactive in game (but don't worry, you'll never know when we'll be back ^^)

I would love to see that back in game. Ask around maybe with the right application it could go "official"
