Hi, I am Devoted, Leader of The ForSaken Ones... ill get right to the point.
I need someone with php and mysql knowledge to help me with something...I am developing a news system and I simply do not have the time... i have many other guild things to do among other stuff in the real world :::gasp:::, yes i venture into that scary place now and then. From the main news page there is a link marked \"here\" in the phrase \"You can see my work here\" click that link... this is what i have so far... what i need is a php form to interface with mysql so that i can edit the news automatically... or if noone wants to undertake that task then a simple SSI script to have a clicked link apear in a table. Also, I need poll system as part of the news section (you will see what i eman when you go there)
Well thats basically what i need.... anyone that helps will recieve full guild benefits and may become a member bypassing the trial... or if this interests noone maybe crystals and/or weapons will.

Hmmm if for instance you\'re not looking to build an entire news system yourself you could try out something like phpnuke (phpnuke.org) and use that as your content-management engine. I haven\'t used it personally so I don\'t know if it installs well and all but it\'s a pretty popular tool. Another one would be Slashnews.

i know about all of these, but none really do what i need to do, so i was hoping to custom build one, however... i havent got the time... so i was going to have someone do it

you prolly need a very dedicated guild base to get someone to just code you some custom news engine thingy, that or learn just enough to make a cheapo version yourself (thats prolly what i\'d do).
I have a friend who knows a bit of php, but nobody just codes for free these days and the ones that do are genius\'s ur sum\'n and are all away at some high priced tech school or private college like yale or harvard (the bas-tards)
