So I just ran the updater, and it seemed to get through it (I ran it twice in a row to make sure everything got updated) but the game still says I need to run the updater... but I can't because everything's updated apparently! What should I do?

what do you mean the game says you have to still run the updater? what os are you on and have you read the other recent posts about fixing the updater?

I'm on Vista. I ran the updater and it looked like it updated a bunch of things. There did seem to be a few problems with some of the updates involved but I'd think that running the updater again would fix that...
The game still says I'm not running the current version and have to do the updater.
I'm on Vista and yes I've seen the other posts. The updater says I don't need any more updates but the game says I do.

Go to Run on the start menu.
Copy and paste this command (including quotes):
"c:\program files\planeshift steel blue\psupdater.exe" CheckIntegrity

Well, after several tries I've gotten it down to just the characters and npcs art files not downloading properly... my current Internet connection has a problem with downloading and other things that require a constant connection. If I could get a direct download of just those files I'd be okay since I could pause and restart and eventually finish...
