Title: linkdead + db problems?

So I\'m new, and I really want to play but it\'s pretty frustrating just trying to start.

I spent about 15 minutes making my character the first time, and when i hit upload it told me i was linkdead and crashed. I started it up again, spent another 10 minutes or so making my character, same thing. Loaded it up a third time and finally got it to upload properly, and it showed a new screen (a server lobby i\'m assuming) and then a couple seconds later, bam. Linkdead again.

I figure well hey, maybe it at least uploaded correctly and i can login now. I go to try and sure enough my account exists now, but there\'s a database error and i\'m told to please contact an admin for help... Well... Help???  :(

edit -- Account name is \"Troublesome\", ironically enough.

think you could sort out my char i had the same problem,

or figure out why my other one is apparently online when it clearly isnt ... it might be my pc though because it lets me on at my mates, ( who isnt on when i try to get on ) but not on when im here .....

I had the exact same problem, then I created a new one today (3rd one actually  8o ) and finally this time it worked.

I don\'t know why it didn\'t before, but maybe try creating another character.

Well this is happening enough to where something is obviously wrong.

For the people that created a new character successfully after having this problem, what did you do differently the time it worked?

I set the character up differently :P

Different Advantages/Disadvantages and Different stats

I don\'t know if that is what fixed it...

My character is registered and all. His name is Blado. When I go to Initialize World, it just freezes up. Yesturday morning I let it run for about an hour and a half and still nothing...

ok im new here and today i tryed to make a char spent some time messing around with it but when i try and make it say linkdead :(

 char name is darkphoenix

and i did the same thing as the first person and  it told me to talk to an admin

same problem

Just downloaded the game 10 minutes ago, cant run the setup because it saws could not initilize directdraw for some reason, so i had to settle for the windowed OpenGL

I got in, created my character, I used custom creation. Went to upload... linkdead. My friend who also just downloaded it got the same problem.

So thats ok, we both go back to try to recreate... had to use different names because it said the ones we used previously were taken.

So i changed my name, remade, and it still gave me linkdead.

Login name is Daeleth, appreciate it if our problems were fixed and I could keep my name this time :)

I believe the problem is with custom characters...
I made two of them, and both got the deadlink error when I tried to upload

when I created a quick character, I got in the game.
