Can you try to run it in a shell (Konsole/Terminal) and look at the output for an error?
To run it in a shell open one, change to your planeshift directory with "cd /opt/Planeshift" (/opt/Planeshift maybe needs to be replaced with the directory you installed PS in) and then run it with "./psclient"
-
openSUSE:/prg/plane/PlaneShift # sh psclient
./psclient.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
openSUSE:/prg/plane/PlaneShift #
it seems some lib is missing.. i think i had some problem like this earlier when installing quake 4.. there i had to install 32 bit sdl...
what ever libopenal is :-X... i might need to work out... \\o//

thnx update running...
i still wonder why it is not working in fullscreen...
how ever.. thnx for your quick response and help
-
Just a guess, but have you tried to setup the resolution of your desktop for planeshift. If you have a higher resolution then 1024x768 you have to enter it manually in the pssetup application. I had this problem with some other fullscreen applications some time ago, so maybe it's worth trying if you insist on playing PS fullscreen ;)

Linux desktop should switch to a lower resolution if its desktop res is higher than requested for the game. Its worth a try though, could be a bug. If its working in windowed mode you can at least set the res to the same as your desktop then leave fullscreen unchecked. It will still occupy most of your screen that way. I've noticed some odd bugs in walktest lately will fullscreen as well so maybe its a CS bug with a small affected group.
