I've searched for my solution on the topics already active in this forum but I haven't found a solution. If there is a thread on this topic that I may have overlooked with the issue resolved, could someone please give me the link?
Anyway, here's my problem:
I've downloaded the Plane Shift client for Mac OSX 10.3.9. I received a faulty psupdater.app that even says it does not work and that I must download another one. I've downloaded another version for version 4.02. STILL it does not work!! The updater freezes while opening. Whenever I try to open and play Plane Shift, it says I do not have the correct version and that I should run the updater.
How can I get this to work? How do I get the correct version of the game if any updater I download is faulty?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've changed the XML and I've downloaded the updater from the link provided in the main thread but it does not work. Am I doing something wrong? Should I re-download the whole client and start over again?

I don't know if this will help but here's my hardware information.

hmmm, i have a similar problem, if not the same one, but i tried fixing the xml file and i downloaded the new updater a few times. The icon bounces, like 30 times, then it stops bouncing, but the black arrow isn't there and it doesn't allow me to access the program menu and it shows up a not responding. what do i do?

okay did everything it said to do on that link of yours, unfortunately after giving the updater 1.5hrs of bouncing time im getting tired of it. Any ideas as to whats causing the problem?
*Btw - Try'd the client just to see if it had already updated but still says wrong version :@#\

Same issue here:
10.5.5 MacBook Pro 2.5ghz 2GB Ram
I downloaded the game, I changed the thing from "false" to "true", and I replaced the updater with the one indicated on these forums. As the OP said, I have looked at the thread you posted here (twice), multiple times. I'm not sure what my next steps are in getting this to work.
Any thoughts?
Edit:
More info:
When it reaches maxosx-0.4.01.13.zip it stops bouncing, and the updater stops responding.

Is that a typo - should be 4.01 - or are we in the midst of an version update?

The current version is 0.4.02
