I was curious about this game, since a friend recommended it to me, so I downloaded it and gave it a try. When the game loaded to the log in screen, it began to add oddly-

After I selected a race, nothing became clickable. Also, some of the bodies were only partly visible.
And, when I went to edit the settings in Planeshift Setup, I get this, which does not look complete:

Any idea on how I can fix this?
Specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Dell XPS M1330
Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset family (>.<)
All drivers updated
EDIT: I apologize, but I think I posted in the wrong forum. I thought the other tech help forum was for pre-boot up, not including log in.

looks like you are missing a skin or it is not loading but your images are so small it is hard to tell anything.
-
Ack, I apologize. Can you copy-paste to Word or something and expand it for yourself? Or should I upload bigger pics?

Or should I upload bigger pics?
please

looks like a lack of opengl support to me. hard to say though.

I'll try to edit the first post with new-sized images.
And is this game designed for OpenGL? (I use DirectX 10)
PS- These new ones may be too big. I apologize, again. Can't seem to find a middle ground. :-\
PS2- One thing I forgot to mention- in the PSSetup window, nothing I change is saved.

hm... maybe try to run the updater, there are some fixes with art and so on.
Maybe you can test this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e90615cf-27ed-45f4-9b93-c10f9d54d7b8&DisplayLang=en (GDC 2008: D3D10 - DirectX 3D 10). Description from MS: Session Description

PlaneShift uses OpenGL. Try to download the latest drivers from Intel's homepage :)
-
Ok, I'll try to find drivers, although I've never had much luck with them.
-
Ok, I'll try to find OpenGL. Can DirectX and OpenGL coexist on one computer, or will one interfere with the other?
should not be a problem to have them both installed as they only will run when an app needs one _or_ the other.
-
Ok. I'll edit with information on whether this driver update works.
EDIT: The only driver I can find is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. Is that the one?
EDIT: Oh boy. I'm getting an error when I try to run the installer:
"The Driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer." I'm going to try getting the update from Dell's website.
EDIT: Hallelujah! The update from Dell seems to work! I'll keep you posted if things change. For now, thanks!
