Title: Can't get updater to work even after following directions
Post by: Rhett Hasul on October 14, 2008, 12:11:41 am
I'm sure this is a very dumb problem but I can't seem to figure it out.  I need to use the updater but when I try in the Console I get this:

:~$ /opt/PlaneShift/psupdater

PlaneShift Updater Version 5 for linux32.

Checking for updates:
This updaterinfo.xml file is marked as inactive and will not work. Please get another one.

There is a stickied topic on this which talks about changing an xml file but as dumb as this sounds I can't even find the install folder.

I misspoke.  I can't access the folder.  I can't seem to set it up so that anything other than Root can access it.

then uninstall ps with the script in that folder, reinstall ps with the installer and install to your home folder, then try the directions in the sitcky post again.
