Post by: Ataxia on October 14, 2008, 05:03:09 am
After almost 7 hours of download, and the installing and updating. I've come across this:

and this:

Is is normal?

If not, please, help. I've been sitting on the computer for all this time, and yes I am tired and a bit sleepy, so no complicated words please.

No, it's not normal. What are your system specs? It looks as if your graphic card drivers have some problems with OpenGL. Maybe try to upgrade to the latest drivers.

find what type of graphics chip they put in the laptop and then go to that manufacturer's website and see if there are newer drivers, as your current ones aren't able to display OpenGL correctly.

Ok. In the Help & Support thingy it says I have both OpenGL and DirextX10 or something like that.

And I found this info:

Adapter information:
Chip Type: ATI Radeon Xpress Series (0x5975)
DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Adapter String: ATI Radeon Xpress 1150

http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=vista32/integrated-vista32

I assumed you're running vista 32 bit.  That page has the latest drivers for your graphics chipset.

-clicks- Yes, 32 bit. I assume it's the first option?

-EDIT-

It failed to install :(
