Title: How many people play Planeshift?
Post by: Madfish on April 22, 2003, 08:32:23 pm
Hi, I am new to this game (still downloading it) and I would like to know how much people play it. I mean: are there a lot of other players online to play with? Or is it just me and about 26 players in a huge world?

Just you and 26 others (often less) most of the time, in a world that\'s in it\'s infancy so isn\'t that huge yet.

Perhaps you might get an idea of what you can expect to find in Planeshift around these forums on on the main site (http://www.planeshift.it/main_01.html) .

it\'s a tech demo,

why do people never try to first read up on things and try to find out what the game is before they download it.

Well, since this game is free, has good graphics, great sound, 9 different races, a huge world and developers that care I guess that there will be like, 1 million (or more) playing at the same time in the future.

well don\'t forget its an MMORPG we all come from different sides of the world which means to see alot of the people from these forums you\'d have to log on a like 2am in the moring  +  alot of people in the forums don\'t you\'se there forum names on the internet and some people log on and off without saying a thing so you would be lucky to find them and know they are there

Depends on the system, but on a well-configured WinXP system it needs around 30 seconds (Linux needs almost half this time on a similar hardware configuration).

Takes about 10-15 seconds on my Well-Configured Win2000 system that has been superbly modified, enhanced, enchanted etc. so it runs Planeshift (almost) smoothly :D

It takes 4mins on a not very well configured Win ME Os which keeps on crashing and for some stupid reason wont uninstall Unreal 2 (which takes up 2gig) cause there isn\'t enough hardrive sapce so i can make hardrive space
