So I entered the door at the base of a guard tower and now find myself standing up on the top of the tower with a fantastic view. Only problem is, I don't see a way down short of jumping and I'm pretty sure I don't want to pursue that route unless as an absolute last resort.
Any viable suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.

i hope you brought your parachute.

Help, please? Anyone?
It's the guard tower across the street from the sign for Oldtown Gate...

you can /who game and see if a gm is on, and if so send them a /tell, if not then you can /petition <issue here> and they can check where you are and move you back to the ground, just remember dont go up there again, it might take a while till a door gets put up there so you can get back down.
-
Well... jump or /die... but both will send you to the DR. Sometimes that is the only option, especially if a friendly GM isn't available to help you.
-
There don't seem to be any advisors online whenever I check in-game. I've opened a petition to see if someone can help, but if that doesn't work then I guess I'll do some base-jumping tomorrow. Sigh...

I can survive that jump with a non-leveled character... You just need to jump to the highest place you can.

It is a looong way down. I know I have done it. This way you get to see the DR of which is interesting. Do not forget to see the library while you are down there. Interesting reading.

Thanks, Siteri. I'm a little loathe to go that route at the moment. I've only got an Endurance of 33, so guessing I don't stand too good a chance of survival.
I may get there yet, though...
-
meh, it's not a bad jump at all, I survived it first time off the bat without much injury.
-
Thank you, folks. I jumped X-/ and survived \\o//. Guess I'm still learning my own limitations. An Endurance of 33, but only lost about 15% of my Physical Stamina. Just a data point for anyone else who climbs up there in the future.

Most of the towers have a hidden door in the floor.

In this case I sure couldn't find one -- right-clicked everywhere looking for an option and came up stumped...

Lol, you really shouldn't be worried about dying. It can be a minor inconvenience if you're busy, but on the other hand if you choose to follow the dark way of magic, you'll be making regular trips to our little PS hell ;)
