I got the three items and I gave them to the guard. He asked me if I knew what word he was thinking that begins with the letter 'R', and I couldn't figure out what it was. I logged off, and when I logged back on, I still couldn't figure out what to do. I tried to go back to get the items again, but I can't. What the hell starts with 'R'??

try reading the stickie walk through thread in this same section :)

What is that?

A link would be more helpful, for future cases neko.

I want people to at least try.
If they were capable of making a post in the newbie section, then they should be capable of clicking the stickies in that same section as I mentioned in my original post.

You assume people know how to navigate a forum. Unlike you and me, he may not know what a stickie is.
But the issue was handled none the less.
-
For those who still don't know, a stickie appears at the top of the index of threads - like the top of newbie help threads.
There's no value in criticising people but not hen giving the answer.

Hello, i know the letter begining 'R', but i have the similar problem:
afther logout during conversation with gard guy it is for me impossible to follow up and finish the conversation again.
If the conersation with this funny guard guy is not finished, is not finishet the while quest...he has already received 3 pieces of stuff from me before, but now after second login he is absolutely indiferent for my conversation. My friends, is there any chance how to save my situation? I wish i had known that i couldn't quit unfinished conversation before :(
thank you

:offtopic: Without going into details I think Neko's idea of trying to make people think and try themselves not really bad...

Welcome Jirkaroh and I hope you have fun. Who knows you could be our next very best role player! :)

Absolutely. But when that fails?

Subtopic: how to break a quest.
Walk away in the middle of the conversation, say things just to try to confuse the NPC, try a lot of RP words in conversation with a NPC (EX: How farest thee, my good man, I come to you looking for a quest worthy of a future hero, do you have any such tasks I could do to further prove myself?" vs "Give me a quest" or "can I help you"
If you get stuck, I do not recommend exiting PS anymore than I would recommend turning off your computer by pulling the plug out of the wall. You might be ok, but try to read what was said and try to finish it. I can not think of a single instance in PS anymore where logging off and then on solves any quest or completes any tasks.
I hesitate to recommend guides through tutorial, only there for last resort. IF it is so hard no one can finish it without guide, it should be made more clear. I found that if you read and think about what you are saying, it is not that hard, and is a good tutorial for life in Yliakum.
of course if you just want to kill stuff and not read or think, there are rats there :-P
Happy hunting.
