Hello!
When the game loads the world, I get this error "Loading Region fails" and then the game closes down...
How do I fix this? :-\
-
Hello :). Is this your first logging into the game? If not, did you experience any problems when exiting the game last time (e.g. crash)?
-
This was my first logging into the game. :)
-
you may want to try:
- make another character and see if it crashes.
if so, reinstall the game perhaps?
- if it doesnt crash, that may means that your (first) character is stuck somewhere in the space
list up your system specs: graphic card, CPU. and update your drivers, who knows :whistling:
-
Since it's his/her first logging into the world, the char can't be stuck anywhere ;) (first region to load is the tutorial)
It could be a hardware or OS specific problem, so information about your system specs would be really helpful (second Durwyn, yay!).
And always try to run the updater first (with CheckIntegrity option too). Might be the little fix to the big problem :D

Make sure you've the latest drivers for your graphics card installed, also try to disable "Vertex Buffer Objects" in pssetup :)
-
- Hi again :)
My System:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
2GB RAM
Geforce 8800 GT
Vista 64
- I have also tried to disable "Vertex Buffer Objects" but it didn“t solve the problem, I have the latest drives.
-
I have had the same problem every time I check the "Load All Maps" option in setup. When I go back and uncheck the option I enter the game just fine.

[removed after having been dinged on the head by the boss. sorry for the mistake]

There's a bug when loading map npcroom2 : http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=2157 (http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=2157)
Until it's fixed, if you want to be able to use 'load all maps', remove anything about npcroom2 from the 'zoneinfo.xml' file located in the 'data' folder of your planeshift installation. Unless you're a GM, you don't need that map.

Symme, if nothing has helped so far, you might want to check Running psclient on ATI Catalyst 8.5 (http://hydlaa.com/smf/index.php?topic=32557.0). Hope the problem is already solved though.
/me dings morla on the head
it's a nvidia card not a ati :P

But but but...can't I mistake AMD for ATI? Well, I obviously can. *sends herself into the Hole to learn to think before posting*
