This is mostly for my own curiosity, but I have a favour to ask of those who play the game regularly. Can you keep track of how much time you spend doing what, then after a few days of recording data, post your findings? It would be a chore, but I think it would be useful.
-
I play whenever I have time, and I RP all of that time. Or wander around aimlessly if I am on a character that would do so.
-
i travel around maps trying to reach THE impossible place  i train sometimes one skill or another but rarely spends lots of time training it, consecutively. :whistling:
ohh and i collect weapons which are sold for a high price ;D like 15000 the last one i got. ;)
-
I usually play 0 - 30 minutes a day, and do anything that doesn't involve lag... mostly hanging out in Kada El. X-/
-
I quest, train, quest, quest some more, and RP if there happens to be someone to RP with while I'm doing my usual routine.
-
When I'm not working or in class, I spend an hour in the tavern, then another hour walking around to random places in Hydlaa, before settling into the tavern for another hour. Usually I have another game running in the background, in case no one else is on.
-
I either train, roleplay, plan roleplay, have an OOC chat, or just sit around and think to myself while watching the screen and listening to the roleplays going on. Training happens to be what I do least though :P Questing is a rarity, like once a month.
-
Right now, I have copious amounts of spare time, but while I'm working I tend to play it mostly on evenings and weekends. Still takes up too much of my free time then, though.
I mostly roleplay, often accompanied by lengthy ooc /tell conversations and/or guildchat (but I don't catch many guildies on at once any more).
When I get the chance, I level as well. Once in a blue moon, I'll finish up one of the many unfinished quests on my list.
[Edit - Roleplaying, about 70%. Leveling, 25%, Questing, 5%]
-
This is all great. Quantitative data (numbers) would be useful as well.
-
Averaging things out...
40% - grinding skills or trying to make money to train skills
30% - Interacting with other players IC
20% - interacting with players OOC (Guild chat, helping new players, etc)
10% - questing and interacting with NPCs
Some times I log in the actual percentages are different... but overall I think that is about right. Quantitative enough? I play, in an average week, 5 - 10 hours.
-
60% RP
10% Helping new players
10% Quests / leveling
20% Keeping the guild organized
although lately my amount of questing and levelling has gone up due to RP's influencing my character
eg. after being beaten in a fight he has a burning desire to improve his skills untill he is the best
I know that last bit is a OOC related (as i personally dont like being a weak character) but it works pretty nicely as material for RP.
-
92% - RP
4% - OOC chat through /tell or guild
2% - Wandering aimlessly
2% - Other (helping newbies, etc.)
That better Zanzi? I put in usually many hours a week, maybe 4 hours a day or more.
-
Lately 97% Training (my char's decided to learn a new fighting skill and he's very dedicated to his training atm), 2% Guildchat, 1% of boredom waiting besides the furnace until my unsellable/uneatable food has finally crumbled to dust.
Other times I've done a lot of quests, I had a phase when my char hung out in social places regularly... I'm sure they training-hype will pass and something else will take focus again. So I really can't say it in general. It varies. I have times when I do this, then I have times when I do that.
