Title: crashing at character creation

i dled without any problems, but i dont think the client is loading properly, and it seems to crash each time i choose a race. the full race list doesent always materialize, and i can never see all the text for each race, occasionally, i am able to select a race, but then it either freezes or crashes.

any advice?

What are your system stats, OS....? Does your computer meet the requirements (http://www.planeshift.it/about.html#requirements)? Have you run the updater?

specifically,  video card, OS, and driver version/date for the drivers for said video card please.

i use windows vista, my vid card is Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family (Intel(R) GMA 950),  i have no idea how to check my drivers and such. ty for prompt reply, btw.

I'd suggest making sure your drivers are up to date just to rule out that possibility.

your advice was correct, and I am now a nakedly bumbling Diabolo named Doniamis Knax, learning about smithing and mining from a dwarfess names Neave.  Thanks alot!
