I admit that I am not part of a guild. So this is just speculation on my part. I was wondering if anyone else thought when role playing with someone in a guild that the role player you are playing with tends to be longer in replies making a role play have gaps in it. If this is so then role play does not run as smooth as it could or should. Is it because of guild chats and is there a way to do something about it?

Roleplaying shouldn't be done in guild chat, anyway. The reason for that is, most of the time there's a good chance that you and your guildmate are on opposite sides of the world, thus roleplaying with that person would be next to impossible, just as it would be for you to talk to someone in Asia without using the internet or a telephone. :P
As for replies taking longer, there isn't really an explanation for that as far as I know. They've taken plenty long in normal RP's, as well.

Mathy you may be correct with some people, I know I have been guilty of that, but there are also lag times to the different computers around the world transferring back and forth to your computer, Real life situations that have to be addressed while playing or RPing, So I would suggest that you be patient and/or if the person tends to be that way all the time ask them in a tell, people should be very understanding, as well you might gain some knowledge about their ability in english or location in the world.

My biggest fault is that I do not enough patience Hrothbert. Thank you for your good advise.

There is an alternative, more probable theory that people in guilds tend to be older players who think things through more thoroughly before replying. Or if they're a particularly experienced PSer, they could even be advisors and be busy trying to help out others at the same time as they're RPing
