Hi,
I've been trying to enable an FPS counter. Old posts suggest to use
System.PlugIns.iBugPlug = crystalspace.utilities.bugplug
I put it in my ~/.PlaneShift/planeshift.cfg, and I get on the console on startup:
WARNING: could not load plugin 'crystalspace.utilities.bugplug'
It seems to be because that plugin is not included with planeshift anymore. Is that a deliberate decision? I would think it would be useful for testing and reporting performance with various drivers and versions.
Building crystalspace and planeshift from source does not seem to be that easy, it would be nice to have a simpler solution. Maybe somebody could provide a compiled version of the plugin (32 and 64 bits would be useful), and instructions where to place it?
By the way, there are compiled packages of crystalspace, but they are of version 1.2, so I guess they wouldn't work.
Thanks for your help!

That is not part of the official client anymore. Probably not allowed on the official PlaneShift server.

the use of bugplug can enable many "hack" type options so it will _never_ be allowed in the official client.

Thanks for your answers. I understand a "debugger" could be used to attempt cheating, although that should ideally be prevented on the server side, since it is still possible. I know from the google video that the devs are already doing such checks.
It would be nice to have a simple FPS counter though (which indeed should not require bugplug).

Bugplug isnt debugger, it is worse (in terms of having a fair game). You are allowed to use it on the official server I believe, just you are not allowed to use some of it's functions (which will get caught by the anti-cheat software running on Laanx) that earn you a ban. As for compilation of a psclient, this is pretty easy if you are using a Linux based OS, but more difficult if you are using Windows.
