Title: Is this weird or is it me?

I've noticed that everytime I go the the Server page on the PS website, The number of Accounts increases each time.  ???  Now I was under the impression that you could only register while connected to the server, but maybe I am mistaking.  If I am, please let me know.  But if I'm not, could someone explain?  Is that one of the problems that is causing this extended downtime?  Or am I just in such withdrawls that I'll think of anything to use as an excuse??? :o

Registration for an account happens outside of laanx and fragnetics.

Registration for an account happens on the laanx.fragnetics website, and it can happen when the server software is down, but NOT when the physical server at fragnetics is down. there is no way to remotely register for an account if you cant access the server website.
