Ello, i got a pretty big problem, the server was down, i downloaded PS, installed it and just now the server came back up, but when i click on my PS client (to enter the game) a little picture loads up (im pressuming a PS picture) then the whole thing just closes and goes back to my desktop. I went to the IRC and seeked a moderators help, he was very helpful but we werent able to fix this problem, i did alot of thing he told me like the -repair command. He then told me to run the console thing and get the text file whatever it is and paste into PasteBin and paste the URL here, wala i listening :D. First ill tell you my PC specs if it matters (a fairly old PC) Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.4GHz, 512 MB ram, RADEON 7000 SERIES (Omega 3.8.205) 64mb (actually like 6758556 or whatever but shortened to 64 lol) Windows XP Professional service pack 3. I got broadband internet connection.
Ok here the link to the text thing: http://pastebin.ca/1279531
Ok, any help is greatly appreciated and if needed i can make a video showing exactly what happends.
Thanks. :thumbup:

Mon Dec 08 20:28:05 2008, Couldn't find iSoundRender!
This is really just a wild guess, but since I heard a few times about the somewhat weird soundengine: Maybe try to turn it all off.
In psclient.cfg comment this line:
System.Plugins.iSndSysRenderer = crystalspace.sndsys.renderer.openalby adding a semicolon (;) at the start.

Wow... Thank you, it's working! I owe you big time. :D
Just a question, does that turn sounds off? (Ima check in game but i don't know what all the sounds sound like so.. :P)

I admit this surprises me a bit - glad it worked! o/
However, this should indeed turn off all ingame sounds - at the moment sounds are "only" ambient sounds, background melodies, bird sounds, sounds of spells casted etc. I for one prefer to listen to my own music while playing, which is why I turned it off in the first place.

Ok, yeah i will listen to my own music too xD.
Thank you so much. Lol hours of trying to figure it out was a 1 second answer of ; lol :D.

You could try not commenting the line out, but changing it to:
System.Plugins.iSndSysRenderer = crystalspace.sndsys.renderer.software
You may have a problem with openal, causing the crash (try to search the forum about missing openal)

This was exactly my issue and thanks for the post!
