Title: Wish: Books that contradict eachother.

The books we have in game are written by people, and people don't always agree on everything.  I think it would be neat if books sometimes left you guessing.  I'd like to see books on science and religion that contract eachother, or even themselves.  I'd also like to see books that present different versions of the same historical events.  I think it would add a lot of interest to the game, and create a lot of possibilities for new books and political interests.  It would also add to the realism of the game.

There is at least one book which does exactly that. A nice read  ;D

I think if players could get their books into the library, we would quickly gather plenty of contradicting material.

Yes!  We'd also have guild histories, and bad writing. :)

Well, some rough/loose content-check should be done. (It must be entirely IC). But that's about it. You will find plenty of crappy and uninteresting books in real too.  ;D

Books in libraries should be dev approved, except for private libraries.  The rest should be a free for all - you can write up anything you feel like and pass it out on the street.  Such was quite common after the printing press was invented.  These are pamphlets more than they're books.

I'm pretty sure we have conflicting books on the nature of the derghirs.

Some of the DR material contradictory as well, and also one of the science books were very primitive and somewhat disturbing.

You will find the library in East Hydlaa (the side towards Ojaveda). Pretty easy to find.

There are other books to be found. Levrus' magic shop contains books as well.
