I would like to say one of the scariest things I have encountered ingame so far would be to turn into a dark alley and come face to face with..... a female dwarf. To alleviate this, a fellow PS resident and I have come together to create the following. It is not perfect, mind you, as the final mods to the face were mine (such as darkening the face, adding more freckles, and Catherin Zeta-Jones' lips), and I am not an artist. I just built on his fine work.

So, replace the file of the same name in your characters directory, and no longer fear the darkness, and meeting a dwarf lady in it. Instead, you will get this:

(note how shy the Stonebreaker in the background looks now!)
(note 2, the original screenshot without the crappy Paint crop job)

I dunno, a female dwarf without a beard is just so wrong, at least give her some peach fuzz! ;D
does look pretty good other than that ;)

More like Angelina Jolie lips >.>

I completely agree with the need for a less ugly dwarfette, and this is great, but there is a little too much space between her eyes, and her mouth is slightly wide, not trying to be judgmental, just trying to help out.
btw, what program do you use for texturing?
-
I did say a not -so- ugly dwarf, after all. ;D
I used the Gimp with .dds plugin.
I was going to moves the eyes down and in a bit (to match the ear-eye-nose rule) but did not know how to morph in Gimp. The lips are fine as is to me (for a dwarf), follow the center-of-eye rule, and match ok with the strange lip seam on the mesh.

try using a convolution matrix plugin I think it might be what you want.
-
I'll see about that in a week. I will not be home. If anyone else wants to take a shot at improving the texture, have at it! I for one will not mind at all. :)

I was wrong, having had a look at that filter I see it does something quite different.
Having shot off my mouth without knowing what I was talking about, I decided to try to redeem myself.

I made this using the filters->distorts->Iwarp tool. I first hand selected an area around the eyes and then set deform mode to shrink and played with the deform radius. I took all of 2 minutes.

You should be able to play with this to achieve the results you are looking for.

Thats better. I can already see myself walking more calmly through the streets of Hydlaa. Now if only we could get Nolthrir ladies to sleep maybe the bloodshot eyes would go away.
Also, nice job fixing the eyes Prolix.
-
much better

the eyes of my edit, the first picture of the last post appear a little sinister, the original more friendly.
Also it might have been useful to use a sharpen filter as they seem a bit blurry compared to the original.
-
And crosseyed. ;D
-
Seeing as I am too that is not too surprising. (http://web.ncf.ca/cr502/googley.gif)
