Book Fair
Book fair
Saturday 10 January 2009
1900GMT to 2200 GMT
At the white building across from the Hydlaa Library
I would like to invite all Writers, singers, poets. artists and mapmakers to the first book fair of the year.
If you are looking for a chance to sell your work, a chance to display your work and skill. This will be a great oppurtunity
to show and offer the world your hidden talents. To reveal the hidden you by words, pen or by pictures. To often
I have heard that people do wish that they could see more of our culture expressed by the artworks of its many
talented inhabitants. I believe this to be just that chance.
I hope that you can join me as I will have on hand several of my works, both old and new. I also plan to
reveal a new line of work that I am currently working on. In the hopes that it will open up a interrest in the arts
of our culture.
It is my hope that the people of Hydlaa come and enjoy some of the talent that surrounds you, as that talent comes to reveal itself to you.
Honorably,
Jaycol Ironhandt

Miadon will also be there to sell his collection of books.
-
Allow me to beat Taulim to the punch and say, 'Please step away from this house, sir. It's government property.'
-
I would have loved to be apart but the event is too early for me. :(

Do you still have my book?
Have you read it yet?
-
[I have read it, and yes I still have it somewhere. I'll see if I can see if I can find it before the event]
-
Thank you Jaycol for an Excellent book fair, I am looking forward to the next one
-
"Yah is welcome," Jaycol replies.
[My Thanks to all those that participated in the book Fair. A specail thanks to Miadon fo all the help he provided to get it adverstised throughout the city. I most also thank everyone for respecting the items of those involved in the event, when the reboot happened. I appreciate that. I was very surprised at the interest in this event, and look forward to seeing it develope. I have already discussed the possibility of the next one with Miadon in maybe three weeks or so. So watch for the post here. And for those that couldn't make it, I hope you can enjoy the next one. If its a matter of time zone? If there is an interest then I'm sure that can happen too. I am open to ideas and suggestions that can make this a better event. I feel it should be a community and an easy one to put together I hope others will take an interest in sponsoring one in rotation. If the interest is there to make it a regular event for the community. Similar to the Open Market I will help to set-it up and gather interest, Thanks again everyone for coming today.]

[What did you think of it?]
Hopefully I'll be able to go to the next book fair, it sounded fun
-
[Exactly the reason I'll never go into publishing. :whistling:]
-
The date for next Book Fair has been decided.
It will be on 31st January, 1900GMT-2200GMT
So all authors, cartographers, merchants of books or anyone with any kind of book is welcome to sell.

I just wanted to say "Thank you so much!" I attended the last book fair, which was my first book fair, I loved it and very much look forward to the next one \\o//

[well time is now confirmed, sadly still to early for some people but hopefully have a better one for other time zones soon. although this event does partially clash with another event (or even 2 other events it now seems o.O), people can go between them or whatever interests their character more.]
-
[There being three activities so far, should add some spice for the day. I wish everyone well in each one. Maybe we can get a few more and make it a full day. I hope I have the chance to participate some time in the others. Keep in mind that those are specialty actitivies. Though I will be dedicated to the book fair and promoting it for regularity for interested characters. I recommend that if you get the chance, make the time to paticipate a little in each activity. It is a great oppurtunity to see for yoursevles how others set-up and execute a player organized activity. You may get an idea or two from them to help you create one of your own.]
[ As Miadon mentioned. The book fair time may not be the best time for everyone. These are usually prime time hours to catch at least half the time zones. But, I am open to sugestions for future openings. I hope in the near future to make some time to jump in during other time zones during a weekend. So if there is a better time for you, please PM me here. I will look for an average time period from that information and try to work something out with it. If I have to the time, or if anyone is interested in adding another time and is willing to organize it on the same day do let me know. I wll do what I can to help you set it up. There is absolutly no reason this actibity cannot be catered to include other time zones. That will take interested people willing to step-up and lend a hand.]
[ The Book fair is not a new idea, But is in it's infancy. The title of the actitvity is general to give it's basic purpose. Simpicity first! Having explained that, I would be interested in a name for it with some zeal, zip, pizaz, grand, invigorating, sings, and/or even sparkles with more appeal. One, that sets an interest with a middle ages setting. So dig deeply in your bag of thoughts, and give me what you got.]
* Jaycol finishes the design for his new contest. Smiling he holds it up to look at it clearly. The parchment he holds clearly states:
"Having considered the possiblity of renaming the Book sale since the begining. I have decided upon the following intent;"

" It is my greatest pleasure to announce a contest to rename the Book Fair
with a title more appealing to the publics interests. The contest is open to
