Due to some evil deeds conducted by a certain guild call PoC and some other factors, Ausuna can no longer enjoy her life at Yliakum.
A certain member of PoC named Ikon, who was a totally weak child 2 months ago, with the help of Vannaka just find his way to trouble Ausuna.
Consider the fact that Ausuna started to trouble the Dlayos 6 months ago, it is really a great accomplishment for this child.
Rumor says there is a certain god that can help you greatly with various skills. How Ausuna wished she had met this God, so that she could teach Ikon a lesson.
But Ausuna has to face the reality. She can do nothing to those childs who throw pebble stones.
During her great venture and a career as a treasure hunter, Ausuna accumulate many treasures, the most valuable ones being half a dozen Galkards.
Ausuna will give one of her treasures to whoever kills PoC members or PoC allies without cheating (if you know what I mean, the use of potions does not count) and can prove it (take a picture?).
Ausuna herself will travel elsewhere.
You might not see Ausuna very often from now on. Ausuna wishes the friends she has made a happy and healthy life.
But no worries, people come and go, people move on, like our ancestors.
One day, or each day, on the burial ground of the dead, new life comes into being.
The doom is near, but at least you can take Ausuna's farewell gifts.
[OOCly]
Although Ausuna has made it clear she does not like this kind of trouble both ICly and OOCly like a thousand times, she always has troubles.
Ausuna doubts that's what happens when you are nice.
To the PS team,
I'm not posting to complain. You have already made your policy clear to me.

[ I do not see how much killing and screenshots are roleplaying... But may you give away your property like you enjoy it. I feel with you. What a shame we did not meet more often. Taking the joy of the game from the players is a crime... if it is worse than accusing people in public and setting head-hunts, is a decision of other people. Might ignoring have been a solution? Don't stay away forever, remember, there are nicer people too... ]

The Prophets of Chaos are not called so without any reason. For they are a chaotic guild, and following any kind or "order" is a direct antithesis to their very being. Ikon is an icon of power for the Prophets of Chaos, as many would remember during a recent war ... and it's a pity such a great warrior chose you to experiment with his recent advancements in magical skills. You have my full support and empathy, and I am sure many others will find themselves in your shoes in the coming future, unfortunately.
"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely"
Even as you have decided to leave, your honor and camaraderie is exhibited in your generosity of donation.
I would only hope that Ausuna wanders away... finds her peace ....
Rakshak bows to Ausuna Eleves, and makes way for her exit as a tear trickles down his cheek.

[ I'm sorry to read such a post but if you want a humble advice: Don't quit the game, use your ignore list. You can ignore a whole guild, I'd know. XD ]

A certain member of PoC named Ikon, who was a totally weak child 2 months ago, with the help of Vannaka just find his way to trouble Ausuna.
Ikon wasn't a weak child 2 months ago... he hardly ever trains now. The only help i provided was healing him with magic during the fight, but only since you had like 200 health potions and he had none.
[ Taking the joy of the game from the players is a crime... if it is worse than accusing people in public and setting head-hunts, is a decision of other people. Might ignoring have been a solution?... ]
I don't see how anyone is taking joy, when it wasn't even a pvp area kill, it was a /challenge, and I won't toss accusations, but the one who did the /challenging wasn't Ikon. :detective:
it's a pity such a great warrior chose you to experiment with his recent advancements in magical skills.
It's not a recent advancement actually, and he doesn't even have max in any magical ways. He did most of his damage wish swords anyway, as Ikon always does.
I'm sorry Ausuna that you're quitting the game over this, but I'm not shedding any tears over your character dying. The fact is that you challenged Ikon, and are mad that he killed you despite your seemingly endless supply of health potions. I was there, and watched the whole thing, Ikon didn't do anything anyone else wouldn't do when challenged by an angry dermorian woman, we all know their wrath is great. May I ask, if you hate dying in game so much, then why would you challenge Ikon in the first place? Everyone knows challenging Ikon is almost certainly a death sentence.
-
Vannaka, with your quoted line, I did not address you. A well played evil guild is something I have to respect.
-
Who are Prophets of chaos? Aiwendil never heard that name in the game yet. Can't be a very important guild...
Nah, serious now, you don't have to quit the game because of one guild. There are so many other people to play with. Even enough to almost never get in touch with some others again. And as Lhaa suggested...the ignore command is your friend sometimes too ;)
-
Having more then my fair share of conflicts in this game I recently got a wonderful piece of advice:
So do not worry so much and use the game for its purpose: have fun.
I wish we could all do that and maybe things like this would not happen.
-
1: Attack thread!
2: Sounds like someone needs to be struck down by Laanx. You're not praying hard enough.
-
Well it already looks like most of the angles of this have been covered but I might as well add my two trias to this.
If you challenge me and run around screaming for me to die I don't see how the end result is any mystery to anyone around. I am a member of the Profits of Chaos so attempting to kill Ausuna in the dlayo pit
was something she obviously would have expected with me obviously watching from above. Now the real incident was Ausuna challenging me which I would not refuse
even knowing she was simply going to guzzle down potions to stay alive. However, be mad if you wish but I will not turn down such combat and being resourceful
and a well trained in the arts of war I found it easy enough to kill Ausuna once she was in my reach.
A land without fear is simply weak so people are like myself are here to stay, for the better of the realm, so its best that you just learn from your mistakes.

[Mixing IC and OOC is for the fail.]

Zzz wannabe evil vs. wannabe roleplayers...
All I'm saying. Hop the bandwagon to runescape, kthx. Keep PLer drama out of the roleplaying forum.

[ Spawn camping. How honourable. ]

[lol how blunt, good job, PoCs!]

I hope Vannaka declined the OOC reward, and I further hope that the author of this thread is not serious. It appears that Ausuna, the character was troubled IC but now the problems are taken IC? Or vice versa? Ausuna is a character! Death, illness and suffering are supposed to haunt her life! But don't let that trouble you, the player. It's a character.
-
[haha wow people, that was definitely sarcasm, why would she give me the reward when I'm one she's probably after? By the way Ausuna, neither Ikon or me are actually members of PoC, but I don't really have too much issue with you wanting them dead anyway. I'll even throw in an extra 5 trias if someone gets Svuun.]
-
..now the problems are taken IC? Or vice versa?
Didn't you realise yet that OOC is the new IC. (possibly vice versa too)

[You mean how roleplayers are the ones who need to be tolerated?]
-
[You mean how roleplayers are the ones who need to be tolerated?]
[ IC "including/excluding/mixing with" OOC doesn't even go as far as mentioning "Roleplayers". ]
-
[Oh. So you mean roleplaying has become "Doing OOC things with OOC motivations with an IC flavour"?]
-
By the way Ausuna, neither Ikon or me are actually members of PoC
[ But you act like them nonetheless. Good job! XD ]

Yes, and it's such a terrible thing to act like one of "them" because we all know every single one of "them" is the same. I really don't think that's a very fair accusation/compliment, whichever it was intended to be.
-
[I suppose Lhaa's generalization "them" was refering to PoC's reputation, which obviously is not a very good and honorable one.]
-
Lhaa, both Vannaka AND Ikon have joined a RPing guild. They do RP and they RP well... Just becuase they were once PoC doesnt mean that they still are.
-
[ Weapons drawn in the city at all times, killing other players in the face of a guard (see picture), partaking in scams to abuse the "noobs", starting RPs due to OOC reasons (see this whole thread). Sure, not always a PoC as long as the guildtag isn't there. ;)
You have your opinion, I have mine. \o/ ]
-
[Although I'd very much like to try and set you straight, It's more than obvious you aren't going to allow anyone to disagree. Perhaps it'll be best to agree to disagree, and leave it at that... anyone else feeling like a thread lock?]
-
[ I pretty much allow everybody to disagree. That's the base of the words "my opinion". :) ]
-
[ Wow, I think enough has been said about literaly nothing. Ausuna mixes up in game roleplay with out of game rewards and feelings while Vannaka and myself stay in character and play an evil role inside ps (which is allowed).
With this topic being basicly dead you can stop the back and forth negative remarks and get back to enjoying the game however you go about doing that. ]

Jaycol sighs to himself as he sits alone at his desk. A frown crosses his face as he considers the troubling news He had just heard. Leaning back in his chair he folds his hands behind his head, staring blankly up at the ceiling.Time passes quickly as he sits alone in silence. His mind tracing over the many conversations he had with his friend Ausuna over the last few months. He recalled in detail the events she had explained to him about the numerous attacks on her person and the parties responsible for those attacks.
He shifts uncomfortably in his chair, his eyes wondering about the room in unconsious effort. Thier random focus blends with the expression upon his face. Clearly that of an individual lost in thought. He shifts again, this time sitting forward bringing his arms to rest on his elbows, his hand folded again as he pressed them lighty against his tightened lips. His body rocks slowly as he considers the new situation with those mentioned in the past.
Remembering back to the many converstions he and Ausuna had shared. He had listened carefully as she explained the cowardly attacks upon her as she would attempt to try her skill with that of the Daylos Gladiators. The most revered fighters ever hired to compete in the arena. Knowledge of their fierceness in battle has lead many insipiring warriors to seek them out for fortune or fame. Many, falling quickly to their deaths in a feable attempt to test their talents against the best.
Ausuna had told him, the attacks had come while she was engaged in combat with a gladiator. While attempting to fend off the talented fighter, she had in vain looked for her assailant. Noticing only too late that the second attacker had done so from above. Posed in the stands outside the enclosed arena pit, casting spell after spell against her as she fought bravely against Daylo Gladiator as best she could. Trapped between the two combatants her strength quickly waned. Unable to defend herself against this new unchallengable attacker she turned to the only other honorable opponent on the open floor and awaited the fatal blow.
Xiosia had on several occassionions blessed her to return to the world of the living. Granting her yet another opportunity to continue her quest in life to seek that one rare treasure she had so desired to find. Even knowing in her heart that it may not even exist. With each passing between realms brought her new resove to try harder. Day after day she searched against the odds. Falling victom to either the Prowess of a gladiator or the spell of unattackable foe. If given the choice she had told Jaycol.
"If I could I would have excepted death one hundred times over by the hand of a Daylos gladiator out of my respect for its valor."
With a deep breath Jaycol sits up. Reaching for a blank piece of parchment placing it in front of him. Taking his Kikiri quill from the ink bottle upon his desk he begins writing a messege addressed to Ausuna.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
My Dearest Ausuna,
My heart weighs heavy at the news that you will be leaving in search of new endevors. I feel some how that I failed our friendship in some way. I only wish I could have been that young noble warrior that you needed to stand beside you. But, a'laas it is only to be a wish.
I had worried so after your departure from the halls of the Call of Destiny. I think you know this as I never refused you my consel, or my hand of friendship.
I have resolved to do now, what I should have done when the oppurtunity presented itself. As you know I am restricted by bond of the CoD creed to ingage in any violent acts associated in term to warfare or any acts that can be held accountable to it's good name, nor, will I as long as remain a representitive of dear Salona's good faith.
I have hope that in this time of upheaval that has arose across our lands. That the hearts of it's good people may once again take hold to stand against the unjustifiable and cruel nature of a select group of individuals.
It is within dark times such as these that the greatest representitives of valor and honor arise from the turmoil to take lead against oppression and tyranny no matter it's form or purpose. A cililized people will not be ruled by fear and sword.
But, wars are not always won by the sword. The desire for peace and traquillity by a united people is yet the fiercest of weapon's known to be wielded. It is that weapon now that I take to the forge and it's edge shall be honed in the name of Justice.
I wish to inform you that I have issued from my office, a Trade Embargo and a Diplomatic Ban against any guild or individual closely associated in Unjustified deed or action. It is my full intent to rally support and/or involvement of my peers, rivals, friends and associates. To put these deeds to rest.
Good people rule evil, evil does not rule good people.
I send you this letter sister, with my fondest wishes for you in your travels. Where ever you find yourself in the furture I wish to convey to you that you shall always have a home here. Safe journey my friend.
Remember always,
Jaycol

Jaycol finishes writing. Looking over what he has written, he pauses. Quickly, he moves the parchment away as a teardrop falls from his cheek. He watches with watery eyes as it splashes out on to his desk. Inhaling deeply, he regains his composure. He reaches up to wipe his eyes upon his sleeve, clenching his jaw until his teeth grind against the strain. With another deep breath he folds the letter. Taking a second piece of parchment he folds it over the first. Then taking a candle drops the hot wax upon the folded edge. With a quick movement he graps his seal, stamping the wax before it cools. A quick brush of his hand clears away the broken pieces.
Walking from his office he summons the messenger that he had asked to wait for him. Giving the young male Enkidukai his instructions and a few circles he bids him haste. He watches as messenger scurries away. Waiting until the door closes Jaycol turns away returning to his office. His body weakens as he enters momentarily. With an effort he slams the door shut. Stepping backwards towrds the door he struggles against the strain of his emotions. Moments pass in silence as he stands ridgid. His body pressing tightly against the cold hard woodwork. The pain in his heart tearing at his resolve to supress it.
He moves slowly away, walking accross the open floor of office. Stopping in front of a large granate table he had specailly made some time ago. Kneeling he removes a wooden box from underneath it. His shaking hand opening it with some difficulty. Unable to hold onto the lid he drops it from his unsteady grip. Shocked, he glances at his once strong hands as if for the first time. The age cracked skin loosely surroundis the shinking muscle revealing his tendens and bone each time he clenches his hands. He closes his eyes and prays he has the strength for this.
Reaching into the box he removes a single candle. His trembling hand barely able to grasp it as he holds it out to light it from one the many candles already burning there. Tilting it slightly he lets the wax drop onto the table before resting it in the melted pool. Waiting until he sees the wax cool, he slowly lets go. "Safe journeys sister." He whispers under his breath. His body suddenly collapses under the strain. Slunping forward as he rests there on his knees. He brought his hands up to cover his face. Not since his childhood had he lost control of his feelings. Alone, and unashamed he finaly lets go of so many years of pain. And Jaycol cries.
[Jaycol will miss you Ausuna. I hope you stay]

The Prophets of Chaos are not called so without any reason. For they are a chaotic guild, and following any kind or "order" is a direct antithesis to their very being.
[But the mistake here is that they are Lawful. They are consistent. Whether they are good or evil is up for debate, but they have a hard time demonstrating that they are chaotic when one can predict what their members will do at any given time. If measured against any authority, PoC can't demonstrate chaos because authority is rarely, if ever, enforced. Xiosia's recent blessings were definitely Chaotic. Her switch to a whiny God who is upset that someone impersonated her priesthood tosses her close to Lawful, but it's inconsistent. And that Xiosia apparently blessed Ikon Revisions, well - sort of demonstrates that Xiosia blessed chaotic people. Intriguing.
One comment made by one member was, '[When GMs dropped Ulbernauts on the mine, no one complained! But we drag Ulbernauts here and people get angry] (or something to that effect). That was an OOC Chaotic comment, not to be confused with a Chaotic comment. And when in character, and someone takes part in Chaotic behavior that adversely affects others, they shouldn't expect to be treated well in character. It comes with the territory. Stop whining about the effects of chaotic actions when it boomerangs.
Of course, my OOC comment was [You're not a GM. Get over it.]
And from what I've seen, PoLE would apply better.
Chaos is not respecting ANY authority. Lawful is respecting A Authority. PoC seem to respect an authority; there is a guild (which actually goes against hardcore Chaotics most of the time). But if people consistently do the same things, it hints at Laws which they are following. And that means that they are Lawful, even if the Law is not apparent.
This is why the Good and Evil axis was added to D&D back in the day. To help differentiate. And as a seasoned DM and D&D player, if PoC is Chaotic, it's Chaotic Evil and sliding to Lawful Evil based on what I've seen. Which is all well and good - those sort of people would never say, "I'm evil". It's still good RP, even if I don't like the style in character or out. But please, don't tell me OOC that they are Chaotic. That bell can't be rung from what I have seen.
And while we're on topic - if you're a part of a Guild that irks people, expect to get some of the irk thrown at you. ::)]
-
[Chaotic can include following an authority. For instance, cults that seek to create conflict and disorder.]
-

He wasn't blessed by Xiosia :P
Yeah, you cleared that up in game. But the initial poster made the accusation... and the fact that it ties Xiosia madness to abuse was, admittedly, something I expected.
Ahh well. Can't believe everything you read on the Internet. ::)
