Ok i like the project but im going to review it from a players POV here,
I download the torrent it cruises along fast and i got the client, great.
I launch it and it says at the bottom i gotta go to some website to make a character.. freaking ghetto. Sure some games do this but they atleast make it so u can click a link and get a browser launched... Strike 1
I create an account, verifiy over email, then try to login and it tells me my password is wrong. Having JUST set the pw i was baffled and changed my password again, only to recieve the same response... Strike 2
The next day i try old planeshift again, Ok well my passwords working now, so i go thru this long winded and contradictory RPG thing that seems to effect stats or skills. I got my sexy demon chick all ready to spawn but im shut down! Apparently u can't have "Negative CP" which in retrospect it does make sense, but god damn im a noob i didnt know that.. frustrated i log out and give up. Strike 3.

At the current time, the PS project is in open testing, meaning not everything is fine tuned, and only those with a bit of patience are recommended to try it out, as the learning curve is quite high.
Perhaps when game mechanics get more fine tuned, you will have an easier time. In the mean time, I wish you the best on your gaming travels.

This is actually more constructive than most feedback we get of this nature here. Might I suggest that the download links ALSO have a link to the register page? The time delay between registering the account and the download finishing might be enough to fix 2 out of 3 of the issues encountered here... and give the user something constructive to do while waiting for the download to finish.
Just a thought... I have read similar complaints about this before.
The third point... well... we all know there are plans to revamp the CC Soon (tm).

Honestly... no... the last time I checked the planeshift.it page was looking for an explaination for the domain change from hydlaa.com to hydlaaplaza.com... and the forums there don't even mention hydlaa.com correctly... :(
I'm not wanting to sound like I am complaining... I was just failing to be helpful...

Should be why I cannot play planeshift.
I get the same thing saying incorrect password. I went to that first site listed in here, and it says no account found. And the second is where I downloaded the install from, a couple days ago, and it downloaded the updates.

DUde, just click back to the character window and then Ok,ok,ok,etc and u end with 150cp
