So i downloaded and installed the client, and then successfully updated it. I figured out soon that my laptop, the only computer i have, cannot run the game because of its integrated graphics card. Most games, ones that even require higher specs than this one, can run on low graphics cards. I am wondering if it is possible that the developers might be able to make the client compatible with lower end graphics cards, as the majority of us use. This issue has been turning off many players, only a small fraction of them would use their time to post for a game they can't run. Anyways i am hoping that the development team might take the initiative to make the game work for laptops with bad graphics cards, because a very large portion of the population uses them, and because we all would like to play the game.

which exact graphics card do you have? if you have an intel card there is not much you can, if you have another card check the pssetup app for some ways you can lower the graphics also check the ingame options and make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. the devs dont have time to make a "low-end" version of the game, this would take almost as much time as they are spending on making the current game. The game as it is going will only require better graphics cards due to the requirements of the maps and CrystalSpace.

just a thought here, wouldn't it be possible to add a option in setup to say turn off some shaders? if it where many older cards would be able to render the game beter also

it is done in part in pslaunch which will replace pssetup in the next release, but some shaders are needed to just show the maps so not all can be turned off. PSlaunch will have many more options for graphics then pssetup has now

and FYI there is a setting in pslaunch to change to software sound render ;)

Looks good!
I'm still having serious darkness problems in Hydlaa. I hope tweaking these settings will better help with that.
