Title: Incredible RAM usage

My PC specs:
384MB RAM (PC133)
866MHz PIII
16MB ATI Rage 128
Win XP Pro

I ran Planeshift and it used 216MB RAM!!!!!  8o  ?(
I ran it in safemode too.

My friend had this problem too when he told me about planeshift.
He\'s running a
PIII 1GHz,
256MB RAM,
32MB nVidia geforce 3,
Win ME,

And he was not using safemode.

That is no suprise Iron Fart. PS is still in development and problems are being worked out! If you really want to run faster get more RAM. I have 1 GB of RAM and it runs fine most of the time.

The reason why it\'s using so much ram is because there are some nasty memory leaks when loading the world (and that really eats ram) :D So, as Kinoss said, the only way to get around the problem at this moment is to buy some more ram.
