Hi, I've been playing PS for 2 weeks. After the fixes 2 & 4 of readme-osx and set the texture downsampling to 1/2, the game worked fine. Few days ago i noticed a couple of strange new things:
1. The shortcut window appears this way:
2. The buildings in the Ruins don't have texture:

I've searched the forum and the bugtracker and I haven't found anything related (unless the shortcut window problem has something to do with the bugs #1996 or #1264). I can play happily without shortcut window and textured ruins, just want to know if I'm supposed to report them as bugs.

try the "fix ps" app on this page http://planeshift.caarrie.org/Utilities.html apply the ATI x1600 fix and the texture compression fix and report back if they help.
also you cant link to images that are on your local pc you need to upload them to somewhere like imageshack.us

The fixes were already made and both the textures and the shortcut window looked fine.
I'll try with imageshack (flickr doesn't seem to work)
thank you

i would not worry about the ruines issue, with the shortcut issue have you tried to resize the box? i have never seen your shortcut issue before. also if you scroll down on the shortcut window does that change it in anyway?
-
Yes i tried to scroll and resize, nothing changed.
I've also tried to change the skin, with the same result in differnt color.

SOLVED! :sweatdrop:
I right-clicked on the board, edited a shortcut and the buttons reappeared \\o//
thanks Caarrie, sorry I wasted your time
UPDATE: This happens when you (well, I) clear the seetings of the first (top left) button: you (I) see a normal blank button as long as the client is running; at the first restart the shortcut window will look like the picture above. :detective: Moral: have always a shortcut in the first button.

glad you got it fixed. and no you did not waste my time.
