TO pile like Thunder to its close, Then crumble grand away, While everything created hid— This would be Poetry: Or Love,—the two coeval came— 5 We both and neither prove, Experience either, and consume— For none see God and live.
---Emily Dickinson

there was a bonnie lass, and a bonnie, bonnie lass and she lo'ed her bonnie lad dear; till war's loud alarms tore her laddie frae her arms, wi' mony a sigh and tear.
over sea, over shore, where the cannons loudly roar, he still was a stranger to fear; and nocht could him quell,or his bosom assail, but the bonnie lass he lo'ed sae dear.
Robert Burns.
What utter rot!

Veil us in icy mist And hide us from the wind! Love eludes the paradigm, Eden yet within. None will see our nakedness, That outward sign of trust, Intimate in joy and pain, Need, tenderness, and lust; Easily familiar, 'Twixt ecstasy and peace, Safely in our solitude, Delighted to repeat A passion that returns, returns, Yet renders us complete.

since feeling is first who payes any attention to the syntax of things will never wholly kiss you;
wholly to be a fool while Spring is in the world
my blood approves, and kisses are a better fate than wisdom lady i swear by all flowers. Don't cry -- the best gesture of my brain is less than your eyelids' flutter which says
we are for each other: then laugh, leaning back in my arms for life's not a paragraph
And death i think is no parenthesis
(since feeling is first, E. E. Cummings)

When griping grief the heart doth wound, And doleful dumps the mind opresses, Then music with her silver sound With speedy help doth lend redress.

THIS IS NOT A LOVE POEM....vday is all over for me but i thought people would find this amusing ....
A randome poem ..by me Bwahahahhahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Once there was a monkey named Jim Bob Joe One day he saw his friend who was called Moe Jim Bob Joe and Moe ate some bananas When they were done they saw Moe’s old Nana And ran away because she talks too much They went to Moe’s hut and searched through his hutch Jim Bob Joe and Moe found a giant ball Then Jim Bob Joe kicked the ball at a wall The ball bounced off it and hit Moe’s Mother. Then she sent them to play some place other They were now bored so they robbed a big bank But they got caught by a monkey named Frank Frank was very mean so he put them in jail Frank kept them in jail till they could make bail There bail was set at sixty bananas Moe used his one phone call to call Nana Moe pleaded with Nana till she paid bail Then Jim Bob Joe and Moe got out of jail Nana made them promise to be good boys And then she sent them to play with there toys After that they played on the jungle gym Once they got bored they went for a long swim When they were done they went to Jim Bob Joe’s And went to the garden and picked a rose Jim Bob Joe and Moe took it to Nana’s They thanked he for paying the bananas Then they built a humongous rocket ship And got in it and took it on a trip They went to Mars and milked a space cow Then the space cow shot them and they said “OW!” But they were okay so they flew away Then they went to Pluto and played all day The nest day they flew all the way back home They landed on a small red garden gnome Later that day they were up in a tree Moe found a lamp and set the genie free Moe wished they had wings so that they could fly The second wish was that they could not die The genie said it was against a rule So instead he wished to be done with school Thirdly he wished George wasn’t curious This made the T.V people furious This upset the authors and book stores too The man in the yellow hat tried to sue Jim Bob Joe and Moe felt sorry for him They gave him a job in there brand new gym They left the man and went to Taco Bell Then they left it because of a bad smell The monkeys didn’t know what else to do So they decided to live in the zoo

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
-William Shakespeare, sonnet 18

Life is a glorious cycle of song! A medley of extemporania, and Love is a thing that can never go wrong, And I am the Queen of Romania.

In attempts to moderate they ask why we don't write love songs. What is it that we sing then? Our love of life is total, everything we do is an expression of that, Everything that we write is a love song.

Not really a Valentines Day poem, but it has to do with love :) This is a poem that I wrote back in 2003. Be gentle with any comments :)
i am the gypsy caravan, it's time to set you free. slip into the silence of the places where you dream. escape into the forest, and we'll go until the night winks itself to nothing, and the sun begins to rise. embrace the far off places that dance quietly within, as thoughts unfurl like ribbon and take flight upon the wind. we can run until reality is buried by the mist, the caravan will take us back to places reminisced.
