Title: Ubuntu 8.10 (KDE 4.2 environment)... does it work for someone ?
Post by: Catw on February 27, 2009, 11:51:03 am
I'm trying to run PlaneShift on an Acer Aspire 1690 laptop (radeon X700 graphics card) running Ubuntu 8.10 with a KDE 4.2 environment.

The game installs flawlessly and starts normally. I created a character and everything works fine until I start to play for real - the in-game menu appears but I can't see anything (still having the "loading" page). The cursor works but leaves marks everywhere on the screen...

Thanks in advance

opensource drivers aren't good enough for planeshift you need closed source drivers from ati
