Title: Why do people argue on internet forums?

My theory is that they do not have or do not win enough arguments at home, either because they live alone and have nobody to argue with or because their spouse wears the pants in the family.
What is your theory?

To most people, the internet means complete anonymity, so they feel they are free to say and do what ever they want without worry of repercussions of their actions.  

Where as someone would refrain from starting an argument with a person in real life, because they do not wish to face whatever may happen if they do start one, they have no problem sitting in front a screen typing whatever they wish.
