Do ghosts, living dead or spirits exist in PS? Being in DR makes you what?
-
No, yes, and yes.
When you're in the DR, you're just like you were in real life. You're a body, and a soul. When you die the true death, you're a soul, and your body stays in Yliakum. That body can then be used by necromancers to become a "living dead". Spirits, well, there was an event that included them. I don't know the details.

Good question. As I understand it, Dakkru "garbage collects" corpses and gives you your body(+stuff) back when you arrive in the DR. Undead types can exist through high-level necromantic spells or BF work, while spirits probably don't exist.
Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this though.

So in theory I could become a spirit if this event had some? If anyone knows the PS rules for Living Dead and Spirits I'd like to examine them. Can you talk as a living dead/spirit etc
-
By some of the books in the Death Realm after one dies permanently their soul merges into Dakkru's being. This is only -according- to those books though. Whether these are facts I can't say for sure but thats what you'd know IC wise at most. If your soul fuses into Dakkru after death you can count out the idea of coming back as a spirit.

Those spirits were elemental spirits or something of the sort. I really wasn't there to see, but they weren't dead people coming back to life.

Kaerli2 is closest, but we are quite some ways off from implementing these types of things. Roleplays based on necromancy today risk going super weird and being rendered incorrect later. However, that's no reason not to have fun in the mean time.

Just thought to ask this here, could Necromancy (Useing the definition of a magical practice involving the reanimation of corpses) be applied to mobs/npcs?
