So, I'm coming back to PS for the first time in three years, finally with my own laptop to play it on, and now that I have it nicely DL'd and installed... it won't run. This is, as the topic states, another case of "Exception_Access_Violation at 04B2D840"
Now, I've read about a few of these cases hoping for some insight, but as I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world, this is largely going over my head. What I know is that I can't get it to open on my laptop, nor can I open the Planeshift Setup (so those fixes are out). At this point, I'm not quite sure what to do. I remember enjoying the game in the past, and I'd really like to play it again, so all help is appreciated.
My stats are as follows:
Operating System: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_gdr.090302-1506)
System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
System Model: Inspiron 1521
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A06
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 1918MB RAM
Page File: 1452MB used, 2604MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 10
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
DxDiag Version: 6.00.6000.16386 32bit Unicode
... if you need to know anything else, please just tell me what and I'll gladly see about getting the information. I don't really understand all of the details in here, I'm just copying from the report. *is a tech noob* In any case, thanks in advance for taking a look at this guys. I really appreciate it.

your drivers are a few revisions out of date:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/integrated_vista64.aspx?type=2.7&product=2.7.3.3.1.3.2&lang=English (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/integrated_vista64.aspx?type=2.7&product=2.7.3.3.1.3.2&lang=English)
I assumed your card was integrated since i didn't find the x1200 series under the other radeon selection.
Try using the latest drivers.

*appreciates your help so far* Can you walk me through the process? I've not done anything like this...

easiest option is to choose the file listed under option 1 on that page. download that, then once finished downloading, run the file. it'll install and update things.
