i was letting my friend, who has the account with fosterd play on my computer, he got banned my whole client is banned, so i cant log in with my account....
-
Lol. Your own fault for "letting him play".
Which, if I was an admin or whatnot, I wouldn't even believe anyway.
:)
-
Yeah, policy is that if you let your friend play on your account then it's still your responsibility.
-
i think he meant he allowed his friend to play with his own account (fosterd account not earowo).
Actually bans are active on account and ip level so change your ip (depends on the isp) and you will be able to login again with your own ip
-
Awww... too bad. ;D
I was there when this ''friend'' (you two must spend alot of time alone if he's real) was trolling
and ''he'' told me that it's ''his'' last night playing
so you can probably go and play on ''his'' comp and delete ''his'' account for some revenge.
We got rid of 2 annoying 'players' with one ban... that's what I call efficency!
People can make multiple accounts which is the case here so one can be at gurgontid mining and one can be somewhere else doing other stuff like questing.

i get all this, its my fualt, i let fosterd use my computer, and he got HIS account banned, i dont see why the dev peoples and the gm's cant just ban his account and leave my ip alone, he's not even at my house anymore, he went home yesterday.
-
Bans are applied to an account, based on an accounts behavior. This is why there is a rule stating that you must not let others use your account in every online game out there, including PlaneShift.
-
Earowo, if you let someone borrow your car and they get caught speeding in it by photo radar, you're still responsible to pay for it. Same thing applies here.
-
it's simple it can't be done because the engine does only account + ip bans
-
a lot of you keep saying i let fosterd on my account, i didnt i let him on my computer, he was on his own account, not mine, he just used my comp
-
Whatever happened, usually it is not the best idea to blame other members in public in the forums. A rather private discussion with one or several of the leading game masters via IRC might be more suitable - in my opinion...
-
Earowo, check if your router/modem is dynamic or static. If it's dynamic, disconnect your router/modem and reconnect it and you should have a new IP, if it's static...you could use a proxy or contact your ISP.
-
ditiloff, u never make any sense...
-
Right. Genuine help that's completely coherent and understandable doesn't make any sense.
If you don't know what those words mean you should google. Go the extra mile, because it was your fault after all.
"But I didn't let him use my account, just my computer!"
Yeah. We all heard you the first time. And it's still your fault.
-
Ban both accounts anyway... just for the fun of it ;D
-
It was a 48 hr :ban: relax.
