Post by: kiou on August 10, 2009, 11:39:20 pm
mkay
im a blender noob

here is my stuff:

shieldcore:
yes i know its just a plate, but for a circular shield i dont really know what else it would be...

80 faces

hope that works.

and a bow and arrow i did a bit ago. these were my first ever blender thing, that core being the second.

wayyyy too many faces for ps, this was not done with faces in mind, and it still sucked...

hopefully ill get better as i do more...
texture them if you want!

i believe they have been fixed

edit:
i made a jar, cause im still just learning blender and it was fun to fiddle with

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=72291ceb6050b057ed24a2875c7fa58e2a796604704452bec95965eaa7bc68bc

the jar is 224 faces, but if it isnt smoothed than it should be smaller, and once textured that should be possible.

basically i think the top is just cork, so thats texture work, and it can be filled with whatever, with a texture.

i suck at textures, more so than at the other things even...

more horrendous works later

this qualifies as later...

weighted staff, just something to swing around that has spikes cause those are fun...

im sticking with easy... that ones 288faces

never used it in there
just 'set smooth' which is much less tri spamming

well try combining triangles to squares more often and use the 'subsurf' modeling technique, which is using subsurf to shape the mesh but not applying it. It saves a lot of faces.
