Hey everyone. The basic specs for my computer are:
OS X 10.5.7
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
2 GB Memory
I downloaded the most recent version of Planeshift for Mac, installed it, ran the updater, ran the setup, and ran the PS application. However, there is no Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/Planeshift folder on my computer, which seems to be a problem. Also, whenever I run the PS application, I can log in and go through the character creation process, but as soon as I try to actually load the server and begin playing, the application crashes with no warning before the game is fully loaded. I imagine that this is due to having no support folder. I tried running the client several times, and this kept happening. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Planeshift and going through the above process again, but my results weren't any better.
Any ideas on why i don't have the support folder and if that is what's causing my problems, or what I should do about it?
Thanks for the help,
P

Slight update? I managed to log on with one of my characters, looked through the on-screen menu, turned to the right, took a step forward, and the entire program froze and refused to close.

hello pathfinder,
Unless you installed Planeshift running the admin account, Planeshift should be located
in your <user>/Library/Application Support/PlaneShift, not the hard drive Library folder.
Does that help?

On a [not] totally unrelated note, I would recommend running games on a user account,
you need the admin account when you want to do some serious admin work on your mac,
everyday things like internet, work, games are best done on a normal user account.
It is safer that way...
