Title: linux doesn't accept .bin?
Post by: ji on September 04, 2009, 07:08:40 pm
When I downloaded the linux client, which is file type .bin, and tried running it, my linux computer said 'unknown file type'.

This is strange because a year or so ago I got PS running fine, although I stopped playing; now I'm trying to get back into it.

Hello

You might have to make it executable first (e.g. with chmod 755 PlaneShift.....bin)

It still doesn't work.

Does anyone have a .zip package of it?

Could you please post what commands you used and what the console output was? :) Copy and paste works best in this case ...
