I need urgent help! specifically homework help! :o (gasp!)
I have to do a little report... more along the lines of commentary... on the short stories Rip Van Winkle, Spectre Bridegroom and Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. it's due tomorrow (ahem-later today-haven't got around to sleeping yet). my report is already a week late, I'm horrid at writing, and I need help NOOOW!!!!
so if anyone wants to help me from failing miserably, I'll gladly accept advice on what to write about. I'm pretty sure my problem is just writers block and general laziness
thanks in advance :-[
remember, the fate of my university is in your hands X-/

Would http://www.wikipedia.org/ (http://www.wikipedia.org/) help at all? You shouldn't rely on it normally because there is a chance the information may be inaccurate... but for situations like this it can help. :sweatdrop:

thanks, but I have all the information on me atm, by that I mean the stories. it could come in helpful though
what I realy need is something to write about. like a topic. teacher tells me to use my own thoughts on what I read, but i don't have much of those, hehe X-/

Oh. :P Well I can't really say without having read them myself. Do they all have a common thread you can talk about? :-\

Sarras, try looking for study guides, essay topics and/or questions related to the stories. Like there's this study guide on Rip Van Winkle (http://www.cummingsstudyguides.net/Guides3/Winkle.html) with essay topics at the bottom of the page. Google of course will yield commentary that other people have already written. Even in a dire situation like this that needs cramming, they're not to be copied, of course... but instead I suggest taking inspiration from the topic or question that started the essay(s) off.
Good luck!

thanks guys, I'll get to it right before school... :sweatdrop:

But be aware that teachers know today how to detect plagiarism. ;)
Write your own sentences. Don't copy&paste!

thanks guys, I managed not to fail! :D

Im late on this...but a suggestion to fight writers block is to listen to music when writing, it helps trust me!

so true, that actually helped me finish the assignment. also very relaxing and inspirational when you're drawing or just.... sitting in bed. right before I go to sleep, I sit in bed and listen to music as I think (about nothing rly). music is a mind plunger. ;D
