i want to see a proper clothe choice like a black robes with a hood and things like that
-
Check the forums.
-
Yeh nice black cloths fot thiefs thiefs dont need armour so we should have different levels of clothing. you could have common cloths and like really extravegent cloths. I also think that the more expensive cloths your wearing the more npc\'s should respect you and if they are merchants they should sell you stuff cheaper out of respect
-
why have clothes instead of armor? Even a theif needs some protection
-
Clothes is just for appearance. It makes your character become more unique. However it would be good if there were \"layers\" so that you could put armor over your clothes.
-
I also do like the \"layers\" idea, but maybe they would only be allowed on few parts of the body (trunk, legs and arms) or only under few armors (plate, robes and so on...)
I would also like to use this thread for a wish that too many RPGs forget...
Will there be \"normal\" clothes ? I mean pairs of trousers, pyjamas, dresses, hats, coats and so on ?
Cause when being in town, most of the people like to wear something more comfortable than your heavy noisy can-looking plate armor...
And if you want an alive society, you will need weddings, dinners at your friends, discussing long a river, going for a drink and all those tiny details that enable you to play a \"human being\", not only a \"warrior\", a \"wisard\" or a \"smith\"...
-
In ESIII: Morrowind you had the ability to wear \"normal\" clothes (although it was unneccesary since you were the only PC in the world).
There were also layers which enabled you to wear both armor and clothes at the same time. It had a huge selection of \"normal\" clothes like trousers, shirts, shoes, hats, robes, dresses etc.
I would love to see this huge selection of stuff in PS as well.

I must say I agree with you. It\'s the details that does it.
Votes for clothes :]

Do you know Dary age of Camelot ?
I\'s a online 3d rpg just like Planeshift. (10$/month also)
You can buy potions to change the colors of your clothes, and gray ones are not expensives, adn shining red, blue or else, are very expensive. Trousers yellow costs much more than a sword for example !
So you can choose the colors depending on your money and your social rating.
Also, you can be in a clan, and the have a logo in your clothes.

Buy \"potions\" to change the color on your clothes? Sounds pretty wierd... ?(
-
the correct word is \"dyeing\" i think
(for me french anything in a bottle is a potion ;-)
-
Ah, now it makes sense :)
Yes, dyeing is a good idea (it has been brought up earlier though). I thought you drank potions to change the color of your clothes :D
-
the dyeing and layer ideas are great :D
-
I was creating a character and thought \"hey, let\'s plea for more clothing options.\" Of course someone had already mentioned this... What I was wondering about is, will more clothes and more options, ie the layers option, take much memory/bandwidth?
I also go with the idea of more detail and somewhat more normal outfits.
-
not much bandwidth because information about clothes type or color are sent once, the first time you see a player (or when it changes), but not everytime.
It\'s not significant.
-
How normal are the clothes. Were they normal for the game or normal to us like blue jeans and a shirt?
-
Yes, jeans would be great. Something I really would like to see though is Matrix-coats. that would be so cool! Yeah, it would be great to be able to run on walls, shooting arrows in slow-motion (double crossbow) :))
Yeah, some \"normal\" clothes I would like to see.
*Jeans
*Madonna T-shirt
*\"I love PS\" T-shirt
*Hip-hop clothes
*Rave-clothes
*Mini-skirts
*Biker-boots
*watches
*giant ear-rings
EDIT: For all you who don\'t have any sense of irony, this is a joke. 8)
-
I\'ll take a I Love PS shirt as well lol it will go just great with my characters baggy jeans and skate shoes
-
naaah, i\'m against modern clothes in a fantasy world ...i like the dyeing and layers bit though :]
-

oops, i was a a bit sleepy at that time (well i still am - exam season!)

yea i think that layers is good and also i like the bit about using normal close. i also think that the dyeing thing according to economical status is real dumb but it would ruin the game. also one thing that i SERIOUSLY want to let everyone know and to back me up on is that: i dont want it to be like some RPG\'s where u equip armor or a weap or whatever and it doesnt appear on ur character. i cant stress how annoying and unrealisitc it is when i see this in games.
I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS GOING ON BUT...
i think that the PS people should actually telll us weather they are going to change things. like, say, if they see this post and agree, they should leave a post replying that yes they think its a great idea or no its not possible or whatever.
If that doesnt work another cool thing that would be awesome would be just makeing another section in the fourms kinda like u guys have general, newbie and stuff. well make one in relation to the wishlist that would only allow PS game developers to post and say weather they are going to agree with a wishlist post and add whatever it may be to the game and maybe even have a poll on weather pople think its a good idea.
Thnx for the free MMORPG guys and good luck i seriously hope u finish the game and it all works out good i am looking foward to playing the game and also hope it stays free(i dont mean anyting by this :) )

I think something like that was tried once. Well not a whole section dedicated to it, but updates were posted. But the devs are too busy to do that. Do you really want each dev wasting time posting info on what they have done rather than actually doing it?
