I searched and searched, but couldn\'t find this anywhere.
I\'d like to see rolls and breakfalls in the game.
To be more or less certain most of you understand what I mean, watch Links movements in a N64 game. He\'s quite good at them. Mario does them as well, to som extent. Several fps games have them as well, but usually only side-rolls are implemented.
Personally, I usually find these movements quite usefull.
While breakfalls would limit damage taken from falling, they can also give you the ability to jump further, as you can land with your hands first, instead of your feet.

Interesting. I hope that we don\'t have to see players rolling all the time just to get forward faster (Before I got Epona (the horse) I rolled all the time because it was a faster way to move. ;) )

as i know there will be a stamina bar so u couldnt do that kind of stuff as much as u like. but how will it work whit RPG elements? will it be some kind of evasion as well?
it would be too cool to have fighting system for jedi knight but that would be no RPG. it could be used whit all melee weapons whit some small changes. but it would be too hard to iplement in RPG system

Man! I was sure you were talking about breakfast and rolls (as in small bread thingies), as a result, I was quite confused as to what the heck you were talking about at first. I think something like that should be limited by your skills. Like, when you get your dexterity high enough you can do certain stunts.

Same with me :P I thought this was gonna be a topic on breakfast menus...
I\'d like that if you were only jumping from a certain hight, could you do roll, and the breaking falls would be a skill that made you silent (branched off of the assin/rogue(sp?) skills.

Hmm I think that anything that exaggerates latency timings would make the game less playable. Something like a JK2 style would mean that those with better pings would be more capable of slashing you to bits which I think shouldn\'t be the case.
Otherwise there seem to be more types of movements soon... Considering that even the turning motion looks pretty bad now I think that all that rolling and whatnot would probably take a while.

well i can say a Jedi Knight 2 fighting system is a total no no
but breakfalls and rolls would be good for theives and stuff who wanted to land quietly but they should also take up a fare amount of satmina espicilally if rolling is faster than walking or running because then everyone like somone said before would be rolling around the place like they were in gymnastics class Breakfalls and rolls should also require some experience points in those areas

*wants some breakfast rolls*
:D
