/me walks calmly up to a wall in Ojaveda and posts a manuscript.
The Alliance of Enkidukai
The Enkien Alliance is currently being set up to protect and serve the interests of every Enkidukai in Yliakum. This Alliance encompasses several forms of membership to allow for the very best of service to the Enkidukai people. Administered by the Core Clans, the Alliance aims at protecting Enkidukai not only physically, but also in helping their economy and mercantile, and religion as well.
The Alliance will have three forms of membership:
Core Clans will consist of Kore fighters, Rabani politicians, Sarraghi priests and Akkaio merchants. The Kore Irka Clan will provide security and military advice as the Kore Core Clan. The Rabani Ithara Clan will be responsible for drafting up tenets, constitutions, bills, and other related paperwork. Sarraghi will perform religious ceremonies and fight against the influence of evil forces in the Alliance, and Akkaio will organise and administrate regular markets in the Akkaio Dsar. Core Clans get three Enkidukai Representatives each at a Voting Council, each of which is allowed to vote.
Member Guilds can be Enkidukai only or mixed race, and have plenty of say in how the Alliance is run. In order for a proposed tenet to become enforced, it must pass a 2:1 vote at a Voting Council. Each Member Guild gets to have one Enkidukai representative, and if their guild has over 25 active members, they get a second voter who cannot speak at the Council. This Alliance will not go to war without a unanimous vote in favour by the Voting Council. On every voting issue the Enkidukai Representative of every Member Guild has the right to speak.
Individual Members are Enkidukai who for one reason or another are not in a Core Clan or Member Guild. They can attain a pin of membership and wear it to show they are a member. They get no say at Voting Councils, and no vote, but get all the discounts and benefits of being in the Alliance. They can leave at any time with no hindrance or punishment.
[OOC from now on]
The pins I mentioned are simply written in your description, a gold pin with the Alliance name on it will do for now.
Currently a constitution is being drafted and initial Tenets are being written. The maximum punishment for breaking the Tenets will be expulsion, and will require a Voting Council vote.
This is probably more describable as a trade Union of sorts, the military presence of the Kore Irka Clan is simply for security. The aim of this Alliance is to make Ojaveda popular again, with regular markets and events, festivals and religious ceremonies.
RP alts are more than welcome in any of the Core Clans, some of which have yet to be set up. There will also be OOC Tenets for good behaviour and use of IC/[OOC] etc. to ensure that we are known as nice, ROLEPLAYING players.
Member Guilds will need to apply to me, and we reserve the right to say "no" if you are not an RPing guild. I will update with new Member Guilds, formation of Core Clans, required help, planned events, and so on. If need be, there will be OOC voting on new Member Guilds as well as IC voting on acceptance. The OOC vote will only be about assuring we have competent RPing guilds, and the IC vote will only be about ensuring lawful guilds that fit the criteria get in. There will be no discrimination other than that.
Edited: changed "Black Flame" to "evil forces" in the description of the role of Sarraghi. Apparently it's too blunt and abrupt for a high priesthood to know about the Black Flame. Further edit: It has now been noted that the people know it exists, but rather as a superstition than a proven organisation. Therefore, even if we have priests who will hunt Black Flame, they would not mention so publically or they'd be laughed at.
-
damn so wish hokyba da ojaveda was still going.

:@#\ No, the point here is BlackFlame is not common knowledge. Unless your character is a BlackFlame member you would not have any knowledge of it. Using knowledge taken from Out of Character sources ( Like OOC sections of the forums ) makes you look silly. Those who get this information second hand ICly will think that its IC and thus fair game :detective:
Its fine to put something like this in an OOC block
Sorry , I know that came out kinda harsh..
-
Then why are Black Flame noted as "hated" and "outlawed" if they aren't even known to exist?
How can people hate something they don't know of?
Whilst the people don't know WHERE or WHO the BF is, they would need to know that it exists in the dark corners in order to hate them.
-
I hereby direct your attention to the "good guy" winch quests. That is all.
-
I stand corrected ... I'll have to re-read the logs from that one .. sorry
-
sorry we aint allowed to know about it how bought simple fact of who they worship how they go bought it the name and the general fact there bad news dont seam that bad that long running or high ranked players shouldnt know this.
-
I point to this thread.

So, I was right, and it turns out, my edit message was right. It is too abrupt to say "BRB huntin' vampires", so yeah.
Let's leave things as they are and move on, m'kaaaay?
Any guilds interested in joining the Alliance should contact me by posting here, or contact me on IRC.

The Alliance will have three forms of membership:
Core Clans will consist of Kore fighters, Rabani politicians, Sarraghi priests and Akkaio merchants.
hehehe, good one ;)
misinterpreted it.... LOL
-
The three forms are:
Core Clan Membership.
Member Guilds.
Individual Members (not in via ingame mechanics, but wear a pin on their character description)
-
Find a synonym to Core. Srsly.
-
Do note that Kore and Core are pronounced differently.
Kore being Kor-ee and Core being Korr (typical English).
Things are going smoothly, the Alliance will be formed soon.
-
What about Kore Clamod?
How come they dont get a mention or role in this?
Are they outcasts?
-
From my research, Clamod are millers and run the mills. That I'm not sure about though, as the Mill Dsar is not named Clamod Dsar, it's just the only left over Dsar.
I don't know many players keen on being millers, and have yet to see any merit that a Core Clan based around milling can bring to the Alliance.
If you want to create a Clamod Core Clan according to RP with a tasking among the Alliance of milling, agriculture, food preparation, perhaps hunting, or something along those lines, I'll be happy to have you in the Alliance.
Also, if Blikau players want to create a Core Clan for metallurgy and smelting and weapon creation, I'll be more than happy to have them. But at this point in time, I've only gotten players who have an interest in religion, fighting, and mercantile (the three most common types of character in PS) and so those are the first three Core Clans we are implementing. The Rabani Ithara politics clan is an experiment, and I'm hoping for a bit of uptake (the RP skills needed there are higher, but there's next to no training, a good amount of prestige, and plenty of fun).
-
The Akkaio Setha Clan proudly joins the Alliance of Enkiduai! We are now bound to each other, the packs joining together to serve the needs and good ends of the Enkiduai people as a whole.
[OOC: The Akkaio Setha Clan is consisting of merchants, see our [GUILD] post in the forum for information.]
-
.oO( An alliance of Enkidukai? Aha... That sounds like a task for an ambassador - I should get in contact with the responsible people soon. )3
-
I still dont like the fact that you are disregarding certain players, regardless of their RP' style and ability simply becuase you reaserch shows them to be "Millers", thats one hell of a stereotype, it would be like saying "all Kran are stupid" or whatever. (no offence to Kran :P )

No enkiduai is discriminated. Within the settings, for example, Clamod are talented millers, and usually that is their vocation. Nonetheless a Clamod may become a Kore Irka Clan warrior, or a Akkaio Setha Clan merchant. However the respective clan's have their own rules of whether non Akkaio, or non Kore may become rank 8 or rank 9.

According to Settings info, which I got from http://pswiki.xordan.com/ (http://pswiki.xordan.com/) , Clamod Dsar is either the Dsar known as "The Mills", as all the other Dsars are named after a Pack, or they don't have a Dsar (farmers?).
Also, you should have put such a complaint in a guild thread, your point is extremely invalid when put against the Alliance, of which any Enkidukai Guild may join (or, if all the Enki members of a mixed guild wish, with the permission of their guild master, a mixed guild may join and be represented by the Enki members).
Guilds such as House Cheshire and The Royal House of Purrty do NOT have Pack-based discrimination, and if you have an issue with the Core Clan concept then you are more than welcome to join them, if your RP standards are good enough. Both have shown some interest in joining the Enkidukai Alliance as Member Guilds.
I do wish people would read an original post before complaining.

Aikkado is not dictating what you have to be based on your type of enkidukai. The jobs/responsibilities are what is typical of each tribe. An individual can be whatever they want to be in regards to job/career/passion. For example: Emmara was born and raised in an isolated house. She is obviously not going to be a typical Akkaio, nor is she a merchant. She is a huntress by upbringing, BUT she is also a warrior through RPing.
Akkaido I do ask you to remember with this Alliance/Dsar RP. The Dsars only govern the happenings in Ojaveda itself. They do not dictate what happens to the enki race. There are many of us that were born and raised outside of the city's borders.
-
One of the major goals of the Alliance is to protect and maintain security in Ojaveda, and improve it's economy.
It's safe to say the Alliance is based in Ojaveda.
However, I will reiterate my point that the Pack Roles and associated limitations are isolated to the Core Clans, who are based in Ojaveda. If you don't want to adhere to the Core Clan's way or accept the limited rank you can earn as a member of another Pack, join a Member Guild.
-
House Cheshire has joined the Alliance, taking an unclaimed Core Clan position looking after Alliance interests in The Mills Dsar (which has no implied pack).
We welcome them to the Alliance warmly.
-
[ Sorry this is just slightly late. ;D ]
House Cheshire thanks Akaiddo Kivikar and the rest of the Alliance for recognizing them and accepting House Cheshire's goal of helping to clean up The Mills Dsar as well as getting the production within The Mills Dsar up to a higher level as befits the great Enkidukai race.

Dharke Tirabu of Kore Irka would like to alert members that a meeting will begin to be organized once all leaders of the core clans are present.
Please begin to prepare topics to be discussed for the meeting. A messenger will be soon sent to collect your issues so that an official notice can be prepared with all topics.
Thank You.
I would also like to OOC apologise for any offense I may have given to any member of the Alliance. All core clans are valuable to the Enkidukai community, and its cooperation is needed to mend the wrongdoings laid upon enkidukol and enkiduyba in Ylaikum.

[Meeting is at 4pm Saturday 23rd of January NZT. This translates to 2pm in Sydney and Brisbane Australia, I ask that all attendees check their time in relation to NZT to avoid confusion. Sorry that I haven't posted a GMT time, I haven't had time to figure that out. Also if you have any topics for discussion that hasn't been posted already in the RP event thread, please PM me to add it to the list.]
-
{It's either +12 or +11 depending on what part of New Zealand I think. And I probably can't come (too late for me where I am)}
-
[New Zealand has only one timezone, the first timezone in the world for each day. The problem is that it is in the Southern Hemisphere, so Summer Daylight Savings twists us in the opposite direction to GMT in the Northern Hempisphere.]
-
[what? then how come sydney usually celebrates new year first? or that's the impression i got. Eastern Australia is GMT+10, and i do believe akaiddo is 2 hours ahead, last time i checked. So the meeting will be at 0400 GMT]
-
Akaiddos wrong its 1PM Sydney and Brisbane they dont have daylight saving we do so it will be a - of 3 hours not 2. right for GMT I think it is -12 because in winter they were -12 so they go -1 hour we go +1 hour so it will always roughly be -12 so 4am on Saturday for all GMT (i think not 100% sure) all the + and - are from NZT.
Also Gisborne (a town in NZ) is the very first place ever on earth to see the new day it is suppose to be an hour ahead but time officials decided there was no point of fuss for a small country to have to deal with a time change, Sydney is behind by 3 hours in summer and 2 in winter, from NZT this is.
-
Actually, the Chatham Islands, East of the North Island see the sun fifteen minutes before the rest of the country :P
I'll get time calibration sorted with Dharke asap. And I'm sure Australia is +2 in summer, when we visited in a summer period it was +2 iirc.
What is most important is that the meeting is at 2pm Australian time. NZT can be molded to suit, I'm not busy. 1PM Australian time is too early.
Also, members of the Core Clans of the Alliance, feel free to look on the Kore Irka Clan forums at http://koreirka.proboards.com (http://koreirka.proboards.com) register and talk in Alliance related topics.
-
When we went to brisban it was -3 hours i remember it getting dark at 6-7pm brisban does not have daylight saving sydney does that was my mistake. But im sure Dharke would know.
-
I have confirmed with Dharke that she is NZT -2. So the meeting is perfectly on schedule.
-
[Due to some confusion: Core Clans in the Enkidukai Alliance do NOT recruit non-Enkidukai characters. This is because they are solely made up of Alliance-qualifiable members, and all members of the Alliance must be Enkidukai. The Core Clans are clans of Enkidukai who serve the Alliance.]
-
[due to this 'confusion' a Core clan can not and does not have the right to remove a member of there guild as this was NOT discussed and told about BEFORE the recruit happened. As to that I must make clear that I did some statistics and found that Akkaio Setha Clan was more active than Kore Irka Clan, but ASC has 1 member which is a non-enkidukai and it was only 1 member more active than KIC so... most of you should understand where this is going.]
thank you
-
[Don't make such posts without agreement of all other members of the Alliance. The non-Enkidukai character was spoken to and left without protest. ASC is not more active than KIC, just because more people jump on their merchant alts does not mean you are more active, we have more RPers online during the week.]

[ Do not post internal arguings as off-topic in public threads. ]
