Title: Can't load game.

Everytime I try and run the game I get the error "Exception access violation at 05e49e00" It won't save a diagnostic report either. I want to try this game, but this is gettin really annoying

Tell us a bit about your computer (operating system, graphics card etc). We're happy about anyone trying this game, but the most basic requirement is to not get annoyed easily  ;)

Toshiba laptop
1.5 gb ram
Radeon x1200 display adapter
Athlon 64x2 dual core at 1.80 GHz

what else would you like to know

Tell us when exactly it crashes please.  Before the login screen, during world loading, or when?

Also considering you're using an ATI GPU, turn vertex buffer object off in pssetup.

It crashes before anything loads. I get a black screen like it starts to load, then it stops working and windows shuts it down. I am using vista if that helps. I also cant run the setup either. It crashes and wont write a diag. file

Look for a file called C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\PlaneShift\planeshift.cfg and open it up with a text editor.  Then look for a line that looks like this:

Code: [Select]

Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object = true
Set it to false and save that file.
